changes to our servers so within a short space of time
our BF2 server will be upgraded to a 64 player server
with VOIP, the MOHPA (all being well) will increase to
42 players. We have also brought into play for you a
Counter Strike Source server with a special thanks

introducing the long awaited COD2 server of which we
will give you more information on as soon as we have it.

 NEW SERVERS
Great news in our efforts to make you the greatest fighting unit ever to grace the battle field the
=ACT= COUNCIL is proud to announce that within the next 2/3 days we will have radically
enhanced our servers. So here it is;

Battle Field 2 is now upgrading from a 32 player server to a 64 player server with VOIP and
Battle recorder.

MOHPA is to get a second server which will be a 20 player PRIVATE server with all the MAP
MODIFICATIONS. This will be for =ACT= Members only and will be password restricted.

If any member is found guilty of passing the password to a NON =ACT= MEMBER they will be
expelled from the clan and have their IP ADDRESS banned from all =ACT= SERVERS and their
ACCOUNT deleted from the forum.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS HERE.

COD2 32 Player server is now going to be added to the playing roster.

And finally upon its imminent release Battle field 2 Special Forces 20 player server with VOIP and
Battle Recorder will be added

Our Team Speak is being upgraded from 25 Channels to 100 Channels. So for Christmas make
sure SANTA brings you a new headset with microphone.

Lastly and what we regard as the most exciting news of all is on the 1st December 2005 the NEW
=ACT= WEBSITE will be officially launched. This is state of the art stuff and no expense has
been spared, but more news will follow on this subject later in the month.

So as you can see the =ACT= COUNCIL has been working hard behind the scenes and with a
large financial investment, to ensure you have the best gaming possible with =ACT=, all we ask is
that you enjoy yourselves respect the rules show loyalty and above all respect the chain of
command.

 THE =ACT= MOHPA CUP
Here it is troops the long awaited =ACT= MOHPA CUP.

You may well ask yourselves what this is all about. Well firstly it will increase your interest in MOHPA.
Secondly it is going to pit your skills and your platoons skills against the rest of the troops within the clan.
Thirdly it is going to enable you to work within a team which will stand you in good stead for CLAN
matches. Fourthly and most importantly it will give you BRAGGING RITES over all those that are too
pathetic to have beaten you, this in itself is worth its weight in gold.

In order for this league to succeed it will require you to attend the match dates which will be organised by
either your CO or XO.

There are all rules for engagement within this epic contest which are going to be laid out before you.
These are not subject to change or interpretation by anyone, and in the event a problem, discrepancy,
infringement or breach of the rules arise then this must be lodged in writing to any member of the =ACT=
COUNCIL within 24 hours of the MATCH taking place. To which an adjudication will take place on the
facts presented, once a decision has been made by the =ACT= COUNCIL this will be final and no appeal
will take place.

THE RULES

1. Each platoon must agree to the number of players required for the match to take place but a minimum of
6 players must attend in order for the match to be held.

2. In the event that a platoon fails to have the minimum number of players required on that date they may
call upon any member of the =ACT= COUNCIL to stand in for the missing member. This will be known as
a wild card.

3. The Wild Card can only be used a maximum of 4 times throughout the entire season so use it wisely.

4. The CO/XO are required to fight each platoon a minimum of three times within the three month period.
Therefore the total numbers of battles to take place will be six.

5. Each Battle will be divided into 4 cups which will be known as THE WINTER CUP (1st December-
28th Febuary), THE SPRING CUP (1st March - 31st May), THE SUMMER CUP (1st June - 31st August )
and THE FALL CUP (1st September - 30th November).

6. In the event a platoon completes the GRAND SLAM (will all 4 cups in succession) then =ACT=
COUNCIL will as a reward for outstanding play give each member of the winning platoon an item of
COMPUTER HARDWARE (chosen by the =ACT= COUNCIL) up to the value of $50.

7. In order to qualify for this reward you must have played in a minimum of 20 matches. So it is your best
interest to play well and be selected by your CO/XO.

 THE =ACT= MOHPA CUP
8. The Points for each battle are going to be as follows;

1a. Most Helpful = 1 point

2a. Most Valuable = 1 point
3a. Most Accurate = 2 points
4a. Most Lethal = 2 points
5a. Wipe out your oppositions spawn pool = 5 points
6a. ATTACKING- Complete all the objectives = 10 points
7a. DEFENDING – Stop the objectives being taken = 10 points

If you are the defending team and you do not allow a single objective to be taken the bonus of 5 points will
be awarded to you for wiping out the enemies spawn pool.
The reason being as the attacking side you would have played exceptionally poorly for this to have
occurred.

As you can see there are also some tactics that will take place i.e. you are the last soldier left on the
defending team it would be in the best interests of the attacking team not to kill you as this would cost
them 5 points. Because of this any suicide will result in an automatic win and the 10 points going to the
attacking team. Which also means is careful where you place your mines.

9. Each map will have a time limit of 20 minutes

10. A maximum of 2 maps per match with each platoon taking turns in attacking and defending.
11. CO/XO of each platoon must agree upon the maps selected
12. Only 1 of each class is allowed the rest of the platoon have to be foot soldiers
AND FINALLY THE BEST BIT OF ALL

13. All matches will take place on our new private server with the NEW MAP MODIFICATIONS

ALL BATTLE AND SERVER PARAMETERS WILL BE SET BY A MEMBER OF THE =ACT= COUNCIL.
SO IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CO/XO TO NOTIFY THE =ACT= COUNCIL OF A
SCHEDULED MATCH.

 Promotions, Medals, Ribbons and Badges

It has been a long time coming and it is probably the ALL DECIONS MADE BY THE =ACT=COUNCIL

now our new rankings, medals, ribbons, and badges all
carry explanations on how each award is achievable
with the exception of promotions. What will now
happen in the future is all soldiers can recommend any
other soldier for a Promotion, Medal, Ribbon or Badge.
We would just like to say that although this might seem
hard in obtaining an award it emphasises the importance
of the award.
All awards received will be published in the following
months =ACT=POST and added to the recipients
biographical page contained within the new website.

 The =ACT= Medal of Valor
Criteria: The =ACT= Medal of Valor may
be awarded to any person who, while
serving with the =ACT=CLAN,
distinguishes himself in action by
extraordinary heroism not justifying an
award of the Medal of =ACT=. The
action must take place under the
following circumstance: while engaged in
action against an enemy of the
=ACT=CLAN; To earn the =ACT= Medal
of Valor the act to be commended must
be performed in the presence of great
danger (last man left in clan match
against overwhelming odds) and must be
performed in such a manner as to render
the individual highly conspicuous among
others of equal grade, rate, experience,
or position of responsibility. (Combat)
The =ACT= Star
Criteria: The =ACT= Star is awarded to
a person who, while serving in any
capacity with the =ACT= CLAN, is cited
for gallantry in action against an enemy
of =ACT= while engaged in military
operations involving conflict. The
required gallantry (makes an outstanding
contribution consistently within a clan
match), while of a lesser degree than
that required for award of the =ACT=
Medal of Valor, must nevertheless have
been performed with marked distinction.
(Combat)
The =ACT= Combat Medal
Criteria: The Combat Medal is awarded
to any person who, while serving in any
capacity in =ACT= shall have
distinguished himself by meritorious
achievement while participating in
combat. Awards may be made to
recognize single acts of merit or heroism
or for meritorious service. (Combat)
The =ACT= Meritorious Combat Service Medal
Criteria: Awarded to members of
=ACT= who distinguished themselves by
outstanding combat service to =ACT=.
Normally, the acts or services rendered
must be comparable to that required for
the Legion of Merit but in a duty of
lesser though considerable
responsibility. (Combat)

The =ACT= Distinguished Service Medal
Criteria: The =ACT= Distinguished
Service Medal is awarded for
exceptionally distinguished
performance of duty contributing to
the =ACT= CLAN at the highest levels
while assigned to a joint activity. The
DSM may also be awarded to other
senior officers whose direct and
individual contributions to the =ACT=
CLAN are recognized as being so
exceptional in scope and value as to
be equivalent to contributions
normally associated with positions
encompassing broader
responsibilities.(Civilian)
The =ACT= Legion of Merit
Criteria: The Legion of Merit is
awarded to all members of =ACT=
without reference to rank for
exceptionally meritorious conduct in
the performance of outstanding
services and achievements. The
performance must have been such as
to merit recognition of key individuals
for service rendered in a clearly
exceptional manner. Performance of
duties normal to the grade, branch,
specialty or assignment, and
experience of an individual is not an
adequate basis for this award.
(Civilian)
The =ACT= Outstanding Donations Medal
Criteria: The =ACT= Outstanding
Donations Medal is awarded in the
name of =ACT= to any member of
=ACT= who contributes over and
above the minimum requirement for
the year. (Top 5 donations for the
year)(Civilian)
The =ACT= Meritorious Clan Service Medal
Criteria: Awarded to members of
=ACT= who distinguished themselves
by outstanding non-combat
meritorious achievement or service to
=ACT=. Normally, the acts or services
rendered must be comparable to that
required for the Legion of Merit but in
a duty of lesser though considerable
responsibility. (Civilian)
1. =ACT=Donations Ribbon. Given to the member who donates at least the minimum for a consecutive 6 month period

(Star is added for 12 months) (Civilian)

2. =ACT=Communications Ribbon. Given to the member who keeps the Clan informed of current affairs/maintains

forum postings (relevant info). (Civilian)

3. =ACT=MP’s Ribbons. For the member that police our server and uphold the =ACT= rules to a high standard.

(Reports bad Lang/play/cheating) (Civilian)

4. =ACT= Press Corps Ribbon. Given to the member who writes an article for the =ACT=POST and has their work

published. (Star is added for each monthly article.)(All articles are subject to approval by the =ACT= Council)(Civilian)

5. =ACT=Recruitment Ribbon. For the member who continually gets new members signed up (Min of 5), (Star is added

for 3 consecutive months of achievement) (Civilian)

6. =ACT=Volunteers Ribbon .For the member that offers his service unconditionally in CLAN affairs. (No specific job

but willing to help in all aspects)(Star added for 6 months service)(Civilian)

7. =ACT= Orientation Ribbon. For the member who helps a new recruit beyond there duty. (Game play /Forum advice/

any other CLAN related issues)(Civilian)

8. =ACT= Tactical Ribbon. For the member that leads the squad in battle and shows initiative. (Star added for 5

consecutive successful campaigns)(Combat)

9. =ACT= Active Duty Service Ribbon .For every six months of service. (Must play on our server/team speak at least

once a week)(Star is added for each 6 months served)(Combat)

10. =ACT= Meritorious Combat Ribbon. For the member that remains undefeated for 5 consecutive clan matches.

Member must have served in all 5 campaigns (Star is added each time it is achieved) (Combat)

11. =ACT= Good Conduct Ribbon. For the member who demonstrates a willingness to help new recruits above the call of

duty. (I.e. joins a new member in team speak when there on there own or helps a member with a problem that does not relate to
themselves)(Recommended by another only)(Civilian)

12. =ACT= Battle Practice Ribbon. For the member who attends battle practice twice a month for three consecutive

months (Star is added each time achieved) (Combat)

13. =ACT= Full Members Ribbon. Given to all members after 1 months active duty on the CLANS server and team

speak channels (Combat)

14. =ACT=Innovations Ribbon. For the member who contributes insightful ideas and suggestions that improve the

CLAN. (Minimum of 2 ideas must be implemented)(Star is added for each time achieved)(Civilian)

15. =ACT= Clan Match Organizer Ribbon. For the member who arranges 3 clan matches within a 3 month period.

(Minimum of 6 players must attend the match and to put the best team forward. Joint Chief Of Staff must also approve match and team).

16. =ACT= Drill Instructor Ribbon. For the member who takes charge of battle practice. (Sets game parameters and

organizes teams, also does one on one training with new and old recruits i.e. stabbing techniques, Hiding Places, Map Orientation and
General Game Play . (Combat/Civilian)

1. =ACT=Donations Badge. For the member who has made 4 donations in a year.

2. =ACT=Marksman Badge. For the member who has proven themselves proficient in using a rifle/
automatic weapon and has shown accuracy and a higher kill to death ratio of a minimum of 2:1 with the rifle only.

3. =ACT=Medics Badge. For the member who provides life saving acts while maintaining a higher
kill to death ratio.

4. =ACT=Ordnance Badge. For the member who has proven themselves proficient in using mines/
explosives while maintaining a higher kill to death ratio.

5. =ACT=Support Badge. For the member who has proven themselves proficient in re supplying
there team while maintaining a higher kill to death ratio.

6. =ACT=Press Officers Badge. For a recruit who has taken personal time to write an article for
the =ACT=POST and had there work published.(All articles must be submitted to the Press Secretary for approval)

7. =ACT=Technical Support Badge .For the recruit who has demonstrated computer skills in

solving members problems.

8. =ACT=Assault Badge. For the member who has shown themselves proficient in combat while

working within a squad while maintaining a higher kill to death ratio.

9. =ACT=Defense Badge. For the member who has shown themselves proficient in holding an
objective while maintaining a higher kill to death ratio.

10. =ACT= Reconnaissance Badge. For the member who has assessed the opposition and provide a
tactical report which leads to defeating of the enemy while in combat.

11. =ACT= Sniper Badge. For the member who has shown an exceptionally high accuracy while

maintaining a higher kill to death ratio of a minimum of 2:1 with the rifle only.

12. =ACT= Intelligence Badge. For the member who has taken the time to play on the enemies
server and write a report on their findings for a forth coming Clan Match, which has been officially acknowledged by
the Company Commander or Senior Officer.(Civilian)

 =ACT= RANKS
Here is a list of all the ranks that are in force for the =ACT= CLAN and the various requirements
and expectations that are affiliated to them and what will be entailed in order to get a promotion.

1. PRIVATE. (Pvt). This is your first rank and all we expect is you turn up to duty and
attend Battle Practice at least twice a month.
2. PRIVATE FIRST CLASS. (Pfc). This would indicate that you show promise and your
skill is evident for all to see. You will also have kept an active presence on our server.
3. LANCE CORPORAL. (Lcpl). This shows you have continued to show a good fighting
ability and the potential to work well within a squad. You would not only have been ever
present on our servers but you would also have been on team speak.
4. CORPORAL. (Cpl). Your fighting skills are no longer in question although there is still
room for improvement. You would have been serving in the =ACT= army now for at least
three months and you would have been a familiar face on team speak and on the servers.
You would also been attending battle practice and would have offered your services to
your superior officers.
5. SERGEANT. (Sgt). You have now shown the ability to lead your troops into battle. You
also know how to follow orders and have a specific role within the clan. (Like being an MP
or helping on the civilian side of the clan). You would be a regular on the servers and team
speak and your attendance record would be exemplary.
6. STAFF SERGEANT. (SSgt). Same criteria as Sergeant although your duties might have
increased in terms of responsibility. You would also have been in the =ACT= army for a
minimum of 4 months.
7. GUNNERY SERGEANT. (Gy.Sgt). Same criteria as Staff Sergeant. You would also
have been in the =ACT= army for a minimum of 5 months.
8. MASTER SERGEANT. (M.Sgt). Same criteria as Gunnery Sergeant. You would also
have been in the =ACT= army for 6 months. You would also have been expected to have
started donating financially to the CLAN.
9. FIRST SERGEANT. (1st .Sgt). Same criteria as Master Sergeant. You would also have
been in the =ACT= army for 7 months.
10.MASTER GUNNERY SERGEANT. (M.Gy.Sgt). Same criteria as First Sergeant. You
would also have been in the =ACT= army for 8 months.
11.SERGEANT MAJOR. (Sgt.Maj).Same criteria as Master Gunnery Sergeant. You
would also have been in the =ACT= army for 9 months.
12.WARRANT OFFICER. (WO1). This soldier would have taken on more of a civilian
role within the CLAN and would have a specific role so carry that title (I.e. Press Officer)
and although is expected to pick up arms is not expected to lead. You would also have
started to donate financially to the clan on a monthly basis of at least $10 a month. You
would also have been in the =ACT= army at the level of Staff Sergeant to be considered
for this rank.

 13.CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 2. (CWO2). Same criteria as Warrant Officer. This
rank is proposed by any superior officer or a member of the =ACT=COUNCIL.
14.CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 3. (CWO3). Same criteria as CWO2.
15.CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 4. (CWO4). Same criteria as CWO3.
16.CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 5. (CWO5). Same criteria as CWO4.
17.2nd LIEUTENANT. (2nd.Lt).This officer will hold the position of Platoon XO they will be
fully active in combat as well as civilian work to high level within the CLAN. They would
also be expected to be donating $20 a month to the CLAN. Their appointment would have
been made directly by the =ACT= COUNCIL. No soldier may recommend anyone for
this position.
18.1st LIEUTENANT. (1st.Lt). This officer will hold the position of Platoon CO. Same
criteria as 2nd.Lt.
19.CAPTAIN. (Cpt). This officer will hold the position of Company XO. Same criteria as
1st.Lt.
20.MAJOR. (Mjr). This officer will hold the position of Company CO. Same criteria as Cpt.
21.LIEUTENANT COLONEL. (Lt.Col.) This officer will be working either directly for the
=ACT= COUNCIL or their immediate Superior Officer. Their duties will involve
administering the relevant servers they have been assigned to. They will also be expected
to be donating $25 a month to the CLAN. Their appointment would have been made
directly by the =ACT= COUNCIL. No soldier or officer may recommend anyone for this
position.
22.COLONEL. (Col). Same criteria as Lt.Col. They would also be expected to be donating
$30 a month to the CLAN.
23.GENERALS.
a. BRIGADIER GENERAL. (Brig.Gen).This person would sit on the =ACT=
COUNCIL. They would also be contributing a minimum of $50 a month
b. MAJOR GENERAL. (Mjr.Gen). Same criteria as Brig.Gen
c. LIEUTENANT GENERAL. (Lt.Gen).Same criteria as Mjr.Gen. They would
also be expected to donate a minimum of $75 a month.
d. GENERAL. (Gen). Same criteria as Lt.Gen.
e. GENERAL OF THE ARMIES. (Goa). Same criteria as Gen. They would also
be expected to donate a minimum of $100 a month.

24.COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. (CiC).Clan Founder.

The appointment of any General rank will be voted on by the existing =ACT= COUNCIL
in the event that the vote is tied then the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF will use a special
casting vote for the final decision.

We would just like to say to all those that have been promoted CONGRATULATIONS and keep up the good work.
If your name was not on the list carry on playing make sure your on team speak and come to battle practice or
alternatively make yourself available for civilian duties all these things will stand you in good stead come the next review.

The next review will be on the 1st of December so make sure all nominations for Promotions, Medals, Ribbons and
Badges have been submitted to your XO/CO in writing in the new forum section no later than the Sunday 27th
November 2005.

All XO’s/CO’s must then shortlist all candidates no later than Wednesday 30th November 2005 and in turn have
passed the relevant information onto the =ACT=COUNCIL by said date.

Anyone not on the review list by the 30th November will be passed over for that months review.
