DeltaTron Accelerometers Overview

The document describes three types of DeltaTron accelerometers: Types 4502 and 4503, which are miniature single-axis accelerometers, and Type 4504, which is a miniature triaxial accelerometer. The accelerometers use a patented ThetaShear design that provides high sensitivity and low environmental sensitivity. They have a built-in preamplifier and connect to DeltaTron sockets, allowing use with inexpensive coaxial cables and vibration monitoring equipment.

USES: ❍ Connects directly to DeltaTron sockets

❍ Multichannel modal analysis measurements ❍ ICP compatible
❍ Axial and triaxial structural analysis and shock ❍ DeltaTron allows the use of inexpensive coaxial
measurements on low-mass structures and in cables. Low output impedance so that long
confined spaces extension cables can be used
❍ General purpose vibration and structural analysis in ❍ Choice of five mounting surfaces
automotive, aerospace and general machinery ❍ High resonance frequency giving a frequency range
applications, especially where a large number of up to 23 kHz (±10%)
accelerometers is required
❍ Electrically insulated for ground loop protection
❍ High transverse resonance frequency
FEATURES: ❍ Robust M3 titanium connector(s)

❍ Low-weight ThetaShear design giving high
sensitivity/weight ratio and very low sensitivity to
environmental factors
