SECTION B: Event report and reflection

Event objectives
 Early detection and care of students with health problems.
 Development of healthy attitudes and healthy behaviours by students.
 Ensure a healthy environment for children at school.
 Prevention of communicable diseases at school.
 To identify the BMI of children at school.

Event description

On 05th Feb, 2020 community health nursing department, SNSR had organized a
School health programme for early detection and care of students with health problems
and development of healthy attitudes and healthy behaviours by students.at Salempur
Gujjar, Greater noida to organize School health programme. On the day of program, after
reaching Salempur village we have started by introducing our guest Ms.Astha singh area
head of Deepalaya NGO, Rajkiya primary school’s Principal by giving them memento.
Then we also introduced our faculty members Professor Mr.R. Sreeraja Kumar, Assistant
professors Ms.Sonia, Ms.Bhavana Sharma, Ms.Anjana Chandran, Senior tutor
Ms.Ramdinmawii, with GNM 3rd year, Msc 1st year, Msc 2nd year students for
intimating the students about the school health program which was going to be conducted
at Rajkiya Primary School ground of Salempur village by using slogans. The program
was started at 09:30 am with formal introduction and briefing about Role play to promote
knowledge about Nutrition by GNM 3rd year students. The main emphasis of this
programme was on awareness of various sources of nutrition, personal and
Environmental hygiene. The students intimated regarding Personal Hygiene,
Environmental Hygiene, Balance diet with the help of role play, health education and
displaying of Models and charts related to various sources of Nutrition by GNM 3 rd year
students.
Around 170 students were gathered in this program and we have distributed
refreshment to the students, chief guest as well as to the faculty members of the
school.The programme was ended at 02 p.m. Feed back seesion and refreshment was
held from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM. It was a great success with the support of Pricipal of
Rajkiya primary school, faculty of that school and area head of Deepalaya NGO of
Salempur Gujjar Village with the Department of Community Health Nursing & faculties
& students of SNSR Sharda University.

STUDENTS FEED BACK –

It was very informative and productive. Students had gained efficient


knowledge related to School health programme including variour sources of
Nutrition with their benefits and importances. It also an other way of learning
and using A.V aids. It was completed by 02:00PM. Student have participated
enthusiastically by participating in the programme.

EVENT AGENDA – It was planned from 09:30am to 1:00 pm

ACTION PLANNED ON THE BASIS OF EXPECTED OUTCOME

 Role paly regarding sources of nutrition, display of Model and charts and
Health Education.

THE EXPECTED IMPACT OF THE PROJECT


 To gain knowledge about the school health programme with their benefits
and importance.

RESULT:
After calculation of BMI we came to the result that all the children in this school
have normal BMI i.e. >25
