Bill Clinton to visit Colombia Wednesday

Former U.S. president Bill Clinton will visit the Colombian coastal city
of Cartagena Wednesday, his foundation said Friday.

The former president will be accompanied by the son of Mexican billionaire Carlos
Slim and Canadian businessman Frank Giustra when visiting two projects that were
sponsored by Clinton and the foundations of the businessmen.

Clinton and Slim “will participate in the inauguration of a warehouse that ‘Acceso
Oferta Local Productos del Caribe’, a venture of the Clinton Giustra Enterprise
Partnership in conjunction with ‘Fundación Carlos Slim’, has leased and renovated, a
press release by the Clinton Foundation said.

“Later in the day, they will tour the ‘Acceso Training Center’, an enterprise of the
Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership in alliance with Fundación Carlos Slim, which
trains workers in local communities for careers in the hospitality industry,” the press
release added.

The last time Clinton was in Colombia was in February last year.

1 dead, at least 30 injured in bus accident in northern

At least one person died and at least another 30 were injured in a traffic accident in the
north of Colombia.

According to local authorities, the accident took place between the Caribbean port city
of Barranquilla and the town of Baranoa, both located in the Atlantico department.

Local media contradict about the actual number of victims; According to lost local
media, at least 30 were injured. National press agency Colprensa reported 39 injuries.

According to newspaper El Tiempo, the bus flipped when it suddenly had to avoid
crashing into an upcoming truck and the driver lost control of his vehicle.

The injured passengers were all taken to hospitals in Barranquilla.
