Thesis Statement

The free Wi-Fi policy in schools should be implemented as it gives the faculty and
learners’ easy education access, saves time and money, and can improved the administration’s
system.
Effective learning strategies were observed and conducted in schools. Educators were
unfocused to provide good teaching as it is inconvenient for them to be able to attend class and
seminars at the same time. As students’ learning style varied, teaching method can be effective
to other students while it is not helpful to the rest. But as what researches provided, another
factor that can help both parties to improved learning is through internet. Thus, the
implementation of the free Wi-Fi policy in schools has been a great issue in our society. School
administrations were still unconvinced that it will be helpful considering the disadvantages and
advantages it will give. However, it is beneficial to everyone. The free Wi-Fi policy in schools
should be implemented as it gives the faculty and learners’ easy education access, saves time
and money, and can improved the administration’s system.

Converse to this policy, it will give students distraction to education, enables improper
usage and the rampant of cyber bullying. Considering that this policy was implemented,
learners are now able to access the World Wide Web wherein they can manipulate things and
give themselves distraction to studies caused by entertainment websites, online games and
social networking sites. Temptations to these things were inevitable making it hard to focus.
Nevertheless, even without the extent of internet service, students who were cyber bullied were
prevalent. Thus, considering this fact it is understood that the implementation is still considered.

Providing that this era is more on internet-based, students can be able to access or
download e-books related to their topic easily. People can also be enrolled in online schools
offering online learning. Tutorials and wider explanation for the subjects explained in class can
also be found in the internet and it will be helpful for students who cannot fully comprehend with
their lessons. It is beneficial to the teachers and students as they can easily communicate with
each other. An effective example is the Edmodo, an online platform that enables the teachers to
communicate with their students in a more private and effective way. Hence, Wi-Fi really is an
important factor in schools.

Books were considered to be inopportune when instructors want to pass the

requirements immediately. Spending a lot of time to go to libraries to find books that were
relevant to their topic would not be necessary if this program is implemented. They can access
internet whenever they are in the school premises. Basically, this program enables both
students and educators to save time and money. They are able to use the internet without
paying or availing costly promos that give a high-speed service. Thus, it will make the work
easier and more convenient.
According to TC Gaudette (2016), free Wi-Fi in schools have the ability to contact all the
staffs or students in case of emergencies, increase security and employ better strategic
education learning. Internet is not about just gathering information for the betterment in
education but rather it also gives assurance to relay information and secure safety. It is
convenient to faculty and staffs specially to the emergency meetings and current news. Also, to
let students asked opinions from their peers or teachers about their lessons.

Wifi in schools may be a great help but it is still a choice the school decides. It may
give or provide good services but the school administrations just cannot ignore the
disadvantages that are present. Wifi in schools is not bad. In fact , it is much more helpful than
books for it provides wider and broader information that the book cannot give. The students has
the total control over the internet or the connectivity. It is the student's choice whether he or she
will choose to use it in one's entertainment leading to failur or use it wisely and use the internet
properly that leads to success. But then it is still in the hands of the senate if they decides to
implement wifi in schools. But if implemented, it will be a great help for both students, faculty
and staffs.
