Kalispell MT-- The Flathead City-County Health Department has confirmed one additional COVID-19
related death of an individual in Flathead County. The death is associated with a recent COVID-19
outbreak in a long-term care facility. The total number of deaths associated with the facility is now 6. This
brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Flathead County up to 9.

This long-term care facility continues to be a major outbreak, with more than 50% of residents having
tested positive for COVID-19 since August. The COVID-19 specific fatality rate for this outbreak is 13%
for the time period of August 9th through September 3rd. This means that 13% of positive COVID-19
cases in this facility have died from COVID-19 since August 9th.
