My Sister

Narrator: A quiet street of La Medeliane, a huge and elaborate house can be

seen from distance and it makes the people passing by wonder what life it
could be if you are rich. The owner of the house was good and humble persons;
in spite of their success in life they have still problems. One morning, while
their family is eating silently.
Scene1. In Dining Table
Bianca: Uhmm. Excuse me Ate, I’m sorry to disrupt your eating. Can I borrow
your dress?
Samantha: What kind of dress you want to borrow?
Bianca: The dress that grandfather gave you.
Samantha: What?! No, I don’t want to that’s the only memory that grandfather
gave me. You better find your own.
Mother: Sweetie, let your little sister borrow your dress, just once you can rely
to her. She’s responsible enough and I’m sure that she will not do anything
that made your relationship be ruined.
Samantha: No mom. I don’t want it’s my dress I’m the only one who can
permits whose person I let it borrow.
Father: Calm down Samantha. We are eating you must not fight in front of the
blessings of our lord; instead you must be thankful that you have anything to
eat. (Samantha didn’t finished her breakfast and leaves)
Samantha: Yaya where is my bag?
Yaya: Here ma’am.
Samantha: Thank you (Samantha leaves and carries his bag)
Mother: Don’t worry about it daddy. I will talk to our little girl.
Bianca: I’m sorry mom and dad it’s my fault.
Father: (sighs) it’s not your fault Bianca its just ….. I must go I’ll be late for
work. Goodbye sweetie (kisses Bianca at the forehead). Bye sweetheart. (To the
mother)
Scene2. In the School
Guard: Good morning ma’am.
Samantha: Good morning, what are you waiting for? Open the gate quickly. I’m
going to be late.
Guard: Unfortunately ma’am you’re already been late.
Samantha: Ohhh gosh.
Narrator: Samantha didn’t go inside the classroom; she just waited for the
recess. She was still upset and not in the mood.
Samantha: Everybody get out
Ryla: But, Samantha….
Samantha: I said get out….Out now!
Anfitrion: Come on Ryla let’s go out. (Classmates murmuring)
Shentel: Excuse me…..
Samantha: Oh, here you are come on
Shakira: You look like stress
Samantha: Duhh as always
Shahera: Oh it’s 9:30 come lets go to the Cafeteria….
Samantha: Why are you looking at me?
Anfitrion: Ahh nothing.
Narrator: While Samantha and her friends go towards the cafeteria. Bianca’s
friend accidentally poured water at Samantha uniform while they are walking.
Samantha: Oh my gosh!
Friends of Samantha: Sam, what happened?
Arriane: I’m very sorry. I didn’t mean it I promise.
Shahera: You’re in trouble now Arriane.
Samantha: Sorry? Don’t you know that this dress was more expensive than
your ugly face?
Shakira: I think we should teach this little brat here a lesson.
Shahera: That’s right. You will regret what you’ve done Arriane, mark my
words.
Bianca: Oh ate what happened? Ate what’s that? Who did this to you?
Narrator: Bianca saw her friend Arriane surrounded by her sister’s friends.
Bianca: Arriane what are you doing here?
Shentel: You’re brat friend did this thing in your sister.
Arriane: I’m sorry Bianca but I accidentally poured some water to her. I’m in
hurry I didn’t really saw her coming.
Shentel: Don’t make any excuses Arriane I know you want to ruined
Samantha’s dress.
Alaiza: But Shentel, I accompanied Arriane she didn’t really mean it was truly
accident.
Bianca: I know you’re telling the truth guys. I believe in you. Ate my
sympathies about what my friend had done please forgive her.
Samantha: Just be careful next time. What a worst day. (Samantha leaves)
Alaiza: Thanks for trusting us.
Arriane: Were all friends right? So we’ve learned to trust each of us.
Bianca: (Happy) don’t mind it just be careful next time guys you know my
sister an ill tempered.
Alaiza: Let’s concentrate about our play now guys. Did you borrow a dress to
your sister, Bianca?
Bianca: Sad to say she’s not willing to let her dress borrow.
Arriane: So, what will we do? The performance is nigh, if we don’t perform we
will be zero if we are zero we will fail. (Unconscious voice)
Aliaza: We can solve it, don’t you worry!
Bianca: Last time didn’t go well. I will try again to convince my sister again I
hope this time will work.
Arriane: But you may buy a new one.
Bianca: Great! If my sister again refuses to let her dress borrow, I have no
choice but to buy a new one.
Narrator: The time for school is over. Bianca directly goes back to their house
and did not waste any time.
Scene3 in Samantha’s room
Bianca: Ate….Ate (knocking on the door)
Samantha: Again? If this is all about the dress you can go I will never let my
dress borrow by you.
Bianca: Sister, I implore you please agree to let me borrow it.
Samantha: Stop knocking on the door… silly girl.
Bianca: But ate just a minute
Samantha: (Angry) what? Can you just shut your mouth up?
Bianca: Sorry
Yaya: Samantha, you must learn to talk calmly and courteously to your sister.
Samantha: Yes yaya (leaves the room)
Bianca: I wonder why ate acts disrespectful.
Yaya: Me too child I m still confused why Samantha hate you too much,
Narrator: Samantha was quiet to her parents and always angry to her sister.
After few days, in the canteen Samantha saw Bianca’s friend in the cafeteria
eating. She comes closer to them.
Samantha: Oh my gosh again and again what a cheap…
Shakira: Look. What’s this? (Girls laughing)
Arriane: Samantha we don’t want a trouble…so please leave us.
Alaiza: Me too I don’t want a fight so please….
Shahera: I told you before that you’ve will regret what you have done to
Samantha.
Shakira: Now it’s payback.
Alaiza: No please…
Ryla: Hey! Stop it.
Samantha: What’s that Ryla? Speak louder I can’t hear you.
Ryla: Ahhh (laughing nervously)
Samantha: If you don’t want trouble don’t intervene. Understand?
Continue girls...
Ryla: I think we should act now Anfitrion.
Anfitrion: Why? Didn’t you hear what she said?
Ryla: Have heart Anfitrion.
Anfitrion: I know what to do. I must call Bianca.
Ryla: Great thinking.
Anfition: A pleasant morning Bianca, Care If I join you?
Bianca: No it’s alright, sit. What’s your purpose here?
Anfitrion: I have an urgent report. It’s about your sister. (Gasping)
Bianca: Not now Anfitrion, I am busy studying.
Anfitrion: Your friends are in trouble. Samantha’s wrath had come upon them.
Bianca: Bluh bluh bluh bluh you’ve just making stories.
Anfitrion: No it’s definitely true. It’s happening right now in the school’s
canteen.
Bianca: My sister forgave them that couldn’t be true.
Anfitrion: You’re sister just said that to make you unready about their plans
against your friends.
Bianca: Why should I believe in you anymore? You’ve done terrible gossips
against me and my sister to make us quarrel on the thing that is not even true
and happening.
Anfitrion: That’s true, but I’m honest sometimes.
Bianca: You’ve said that before.
Anfitrion: It’s your choice. But remember not all tricksters are dishonest.
(Anfitrion leaves)
Bianca: (Annoyed and can’t concentrate anymore) Ohh. Why did that Anfitrion
come here and just break my concentration. Maybe his right… (Angry emotion)
… Maybe it’s just a trap. Ahhh(slams her ballpen) I just go to canteen to see if
it’s true. But it will consume my available time going there, but I can’t neither
concentrate nor forget his words. I must go.
Narrator: Bianca hurriedly set forth to see if Anfitrion’s words are true and if he
is not totally an idiot and a trickster. In the canteen Bianca saw nothing. She
turns back but suddenly she hears something.
Bianca: That’s Arriane’s voice. Hello guys. What are you doing here ate?
Samantha: oh …my poor little sister….
Bianca: Ate, can you please stop it?
Samantha: Huh! (Laughing) My gosh Bianca
Bianca: (she get angry) Ate,you know I’m tired of understanding you every day.
It looks like I’m always wrong. Now tell me Ate is you a sister to me? Is this
how you express your love and gratitude to me? You know Ate I’ve always
prayed to God that you will be enlightened because you cause too much
trouble to us. You’ve never been a good sister to me. Never!
Samantha :( poured some water on Bianca’s face) How dare you telling it in
front of me Bianca. Don’t you dare saying it on me and for you know, I didn’t
know you as my sister and I will never will.
(Bianca accidentally slaps her sister)
Samantha: (Slaps also Jenny) From now on, you don’t you ever, ever! Call me
Ate.
Narrator: The patience of Bianca had come to limit, But she remember what
her father said.
Bianca: I know that ate because I’ve felt that for thirteen years that I don’t have
a sister. Come on guys.
(Samantha pulls her hair and they started to fight.)
Guard: Stop these both of you. (They stopped and Samantha leaves).
Bianca: I’m sorry Guard it’s my fault.
Guard: I want to talk to your parents Bianca we can’t keep things like these
even if it’s your parents own this school. We must tell them to prevent this
event happen again.
Narrator: After what happened… When Samantha goes home, her mother and
Bainca is waiting… She thought that Bainca already told her. When Samantha
enters the house she hurriedly goes to her room but her mom calls her.
Mother: Samantha, sweetie we need to talk.
Samantha: Mom. I’m tired, I need to rest
Mother: Samantha, come here, come here this instant! You have no respect
now, I told you to talk to me.
Samantha: Mom... I told you I’m tired. Can’t you understand?
Mother: Liza!!
Samantha: What?!!
Mother: I heard what did you done to your sister every word, not only on her
but also her friends. I have not taught you to be disrespectful person
Samantha.
Samantha: and??
Mother: Samantha, I thought you will make me proud. After all of our sacrifices
for you, to give you a good life.
Samantha: What? You even have no time for us mom your always on your
work even weekends. I didn’t even fell a love from my parents. You didn’t act
right to your obligation. You’ve just hired somebody to cover your
irresponsibility.
Mother: Don’t you dare talk to me on that way Samantha; don’t you know that
my problems are countless?! I have so many problems and now you add as my
problem too?
Samantha: (crying) Mom, I’m not your work either your problem, I’m your
daughter… your daughter!!
Mother: Don’t you understand that I’ve done everything, everything in my
power, for you, for both of you to make your future brighter.
Samantha: I’ve understand that mom, I don’t understand is that you love your
work more than of us.
Bianca: Don’t cry Ate just calm down. (Samantha walks away crying)
Mom: Samantha! Come back here
Narrator: Suddenly the mother of Samantha had felt unconscious and fell to
ground.
Bianca: Mom? Mom?! Help! Please help us!
Father: Daughters I’m home. (Runs toward Bianca) Sweetheart? Wake up!
Bianca what happened?
Bianca: I don’t know dad I just saw mom lying on the ground.
Father: Call your Ate to help you assist and take care of your mom, while I’m
calling for our private doctor.
Bianca: Okay dad, just be hurry (sobbing).
Father: Don’t you worry darling all is going to be alright. (Father rushes
towards the door)
Bianca: Ate, ate I need your help mom got ill. (Samantha goes hurriedly to her
sister)
Samantha: Mom? Mom wake up Mom! Mom (sobbing lightly) I’m sorry please
mom don’t leave us, Mom wake up! Please…. this is all my fault.
Doctor: Uhh. Excuse me children
Samantha: Doctor, please do anything to save my mother.
Father: Children come here. Don’t cry.
Narrator: After several hours waiting….
Father: How is my wife doctor?
Doctor: She is fine now. She’s just stress she just need some rest and
relaxation. But I will give you a supplement to lessen her stress faster.
Samantha: Thank you very much doc.
Doctor: It’s my pleasure and my job ma’am. Uhm I’d better go now… goodbye
sir.
Father: Farewell.
Narrator: Samantha talks to her mom and the rest of the family is just listening
to her.
Samantha: (hugs the mother) Mom I’m sorry, I know it’s my entire fault… I
promise to be good now because I don’t want to lose you.
Mom: Samantha, I just want to discipline you because I don’t want you to grow
disrespectful.
Samantha: Mom. I’m very sorry… I promise from now this day towards our last
breath on this world I will not do so again what I‘ve done.
Bianca: Promise?
Samantha: Promise.
Father: I’m so happy to hear that Samantha. (They hug each other)
Narrator: After a few days…. everything change and becomes better.
Bianca: Good morning ate (smiling)
Samantha: Duhh (Bianca wonder and confused) Joke … I’m just kidding good
morning too my sister.
Mom and Dad: Good morning Samantha (They eat together happily)
Narrator: They said “People change” and just like Samantha, she also change
starting that time, they also said that bad things can be never change until
worst things happen. It’s true and this story is one of the examples. Everything
gets fine and their mother changes her job to be more at her daughters and
they live a happy family. “A Family in harmony will prosper in everything”
