Emperador Inc. is a holding company that manages an integrated production and

distribution of distilled spirits and other alcoholic drinks in the Philippines and

internationally. It established itself as the country’s largest liquor company as well as the

world’s largest brandy producer through the Emperador Distillers, Inc. Some of their

well-known products include Emperador brandy, Emperador Lights, Andy Player

Whisky, Smirnoff Mule, The Bar, and Fundador. The original Emperador Brandy was

launched in 1990 as the Philippines’s first brandy label and since then, it had just begun

to expand as a brand, even outside the country. Right now, their products are being

distributed in 40 different countries across the globe, in Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle

East, and even North America. Emperador Inc. had significant investments in other

countries such as purchasing Whyte and Mackay, a Scotch whisky producer in

Glasgow, Scotland in 2014, and also owns multiple facilities across Europe like the 409

hectares of vineyard land in Madrid, Spain after the acquisition of Bodega San Bruno

S.A. of Spain. Another attribute of Emperador Inc. as a global corporation is their ability

to connect their resources, talent and opportunity even across political boundaries.
