First of all, I’d like to thank the judges who has given me time to have my

story telling about “BONE MALEI” and the audience who willingly pay good
attention about it. Befor teling further the story I’d rather introduce myself first.

My name is............................
I study in Elementary School of ..... Baubau

One time Buton was ruled by a king namely King Mulae. At that time in
Bone Tobungku Kapuntori there was a riot led by La Bolontio. People who live in
Bone Tobungku are very afraid of La Bolontio because they only have one eye.
He is cruel and arrogant so everyone feels uneasy. The property is confiscated,
taken or damaged.

A few moments later the cruelty news reached in the Palace and was
known by the king. Then, the king made a decision that anyone who could kill La
Bolontio would be given a gift, mated with his daughter named Wa Tanpaydongi.
Her name in the palace known as Boroko Malanga.

The news spread throughout the kingdom. The brave warriors all headed
for Bone to Bungku. Murhum also complained and taking a boat to Bone
Tobungku. After arriving on the beach, he pretended to limp walking towards La
Bolontio. In the other hand, La Bolontio also goes to Murhum. After La Bolontio
approached, Murhum put his feet in the sand, and suddenly jerked towards La
Bolontio's eyes, so it was full of sand. Finally he staggered because his eyes were
blind due to contact with sand. Murhum unsheathed his knife and then stabbed La
Bolontio, but it didn’t penetrate. Seeing that he took La Bolontio’s knife then
stabbed La Bolontio with his own knife. At that time he slammed and died. Seeing
this, Murhum's friends chased La Bolontio's troops to fight, some died, some were
taken prisoner and some fled. At that moment Murhum cut off the neck of La
Bolontio and his head was brought immediately to the king so that the king was
sure that La Bolontio who had one eye, had been defeated.

After that Murhum also cut the genitals of La Bolontio to be presented to

King Mulae as proof that the one who killed La Bolontio was Murhum.

Then, Murhum was recognized by King Mulae and immediately mated to

Boroko Malanga. Finally the head of La Bolontio was handed over to the Siompu
people to be kept in a cave which was on a rock in Lontoi. During the battle in
Bone Tobungku so many La Bolontio troops were killed and the sand turned into
red color because of blood. That is why Bone Tobungku was named by "Bone
Malei"

 BONE MALEI (PASIR MERAH)

Suatu saat buton diperintah oleh seorang raja yakni Raja Mulae. Pada zaman itu di
Bone Tobungku Kapuntori ada huru-hara yang di pimpin oleh La Bolontio. Rakyat
yang tinggal di Bone Tobungku sangat takut dengan La Bolontio karena dia hanya
memiliki satu mata saja. Ia kejam dan tinggi hati, semua orang merasa tidak
tenteram. Harta bendanya dirampas, diambil atau dirusakkan.

Beberapa saat kemudian huru-hara tersebut sampailah beritanya di Istana dan telah
diketahui olah raja. Setelah itu raja mengadakan keputusan, siapa-siapa yang dapat
membunuh La Bolontio, akan diberi hadiah, dikawinkan dengan putrinya yang
bernama Wa Tanpaydongi. Namanya diIstana di kenal dengan Boroko Malanga.

Beritanya tersebut menyebarkan di seluruh kerajaan. Para satria yang berani semua
menuju Bone To bungku. Murhum pun ikut mengadu untung. Menurut berita
Murhum saat ini naik sampan menuju Bone Tobungku. Setelah tiba, Murhum naik ke
darat. Setelah menginjakkan kaki di pantai , ia berpura-pura pincang berjalan
menuju La Bolontio. Menurut Cerita, La Bolontio berjalan pula menuju Murhum.
Setelah La Bolontio mendekat,Murhum memasukkan kakinya kedalam pasir, dan
secara tiba-tiba disentakkan kearah mata La Bolontio, sehingga penuh dengan
pasir. Akhirnya ia terhuyung-huyung karena matanya sudah buta akibat dikena
pasir. Murhum menghunus kerisnya lalu menikam La Bolontio,tetapi tidak mampan.
Melihat itu Murhum merampas keris La Bolontio kemudian ditikamkan pada La
Bolontio denagn kerisnya sendiri. Saat itu La Bolontio terbanting lalu meninggal
dunia. Melihat itu kawan-kawan Murhum lalu mengejar pasukan La Bolontio untuk
berkelahi, sebagian meninggal ,sebagian ditawan dan sebagian lagi melarikan diri.
Saat itu juga Murhum memenggal leher La Bolontio dan kepalanya dibawa segera
pada raja  supaya raja yakin bahwa La Bolontio yang bermata satutelah dikalahkan.

Sesudah itu Murhum memotong pula alat fital dari La Bolontio untuk di
persembahkan kepada Raja Mulae sebagai bukti bahwa yang membunuh La Bolontio
adalah Murhum.

Kemudian dari pada itu Murhum telah diakui Raja Mulae dan langsung dikawinkan
dengan Boroko Malanga. Akhirnya kepala La Bolontio diserahkan kepada orang
siompu untuk disimpan dalam gua yang berada diatas batu di Lontoi. Saat
pertempuran di Bone Tobungku sangat banyak pasukan La Bolontio yang terbunuh
sehingga pasir menjadi berwarna merah karena darah. Itulah sebabnya Bone
Tobungku di gelar dengan nama “Bone Malei”.
