Need to plan and implement your Experion® Process
 Conceptual understanding of the server to enable
Knowledge System (PKS) and C300 controller? optimum utilization
This course provides participants the ability to perform the  Design and configure the server for optimum data
following tasks as applicable to the Experion PKS System collection
Efficient planning and implementation of your Experion PKS
and C300 controllers: C300 Controller
 Plan the system. This includes the planning of the  Conceptual understanding of C300 controllers to enable
Server, Stations, and the Fault Tolerant Ethernet optimum utilization

 Configure the Server. This includes setting up the  Design and configure the C300 controllers for optimum
Enterprise Model, SCADA Points, Alarms, Alarm control
Groups, and Preformatted and Custom Reports Course Delivery Options
 Integrate Experion PKS to OPC servers  In-Center Instructor-Led Training

 Use Experion PKS data in other applications  On-Site Instructor-Led Training

 Build control strategies in the Control Execution


Environment that can be applied to the C300 (PMIO & Who Should Take This Course?
Series C) Experion PKS System Implementers
 Plan C300 controllers including the selection of Experion System Engineering and configuration tasks

system. It includes extensive hands-on lab exercises where Plant, process, and Distributed Control System tag
participants will build and configure a Control Execution knowledge
Environment applicable to the C300 and EPKS Server.

components and learn how data flows through the Experion PKS
Server
Plan the Experion PKS Server and the Fault Tolerant-
Ethernet
Configure Flex, Console, and Console Extensions stations
and Report printers
Use the Configuration Studio for Server configuration
Configure integration functionality
Configure the Experion PKS Server for Process Control
functionality such as:
Enterprise Model including Assets & Alarm Groups
o SCADA Controllers, Channels, and Points
o Alarm Settings
o Alarm, Event, and Message Summaries
• Plan the C300 controllers
• Select appropriate components of C300 controllers
including processors, I/O and communications
• Configure the C300 controllers including:
o Hardware
o Converting a SPARE channel in an IOM to
corresponding channel type and Configure
Series C IO references
o Control Modules, which incorporate Data
Acquisition using Reference IO’s, Regulatory
Control and Device Control Logic
o Sequential Control Modules which are used to
control process sequences, such as start up,
shut down and batch operations
o Checkpoint Save and Restore

Honeywell Process Manager I/O applicable to
C300 controllers
