    TITLE OF THE PROJECT : OPTICAL DATA


    TRANSFER
    In today’s world where data security is one of the major concern, it becomes vital to get new
    methods for the data transmission. Optical Communication is emerging as new method for data
    transmission in which data is transmitted through Light. This is a much more secure method of
    transmission compared to existing technologies. Also the data transmission rate is very high
    around few Gigabytes per second. The use of various wavelength Light can produce different
    speeds and data rates. Radio spectrum is congested, but the demand for wireless data doubles
    each year. Issues regarding radio spectrum, such as capacity, availability, efficiency, security are
    solved using optical data transfer method and also the radiation is very harmful for the living
    organism.
