• Vehicular circulation within Connaught Circus is one - way in all three circles as well as the
Traffic Signal
connecting radials.
Bus Stop
• In the circles Pedestrian Circulation the direction of movement reverserses alternatively.
Pedestrian Crossing
• On outer circle, the movement of vehicles is punctuated intermittently for pedestrian crossing
Metro Entry/ Exits along with four locations where signalised cross movement of vehicles is permitted.
Bridge • There are no signals within CP directing vehicular movement. Due to congestion on outer circle,
Slow Traffic
while travelling from different parts of the city people tend to use inner circle as throughfare to
Moderate Traffic travel in the opposite direction.
Fast Traffic • There is a continuous pedestrian movement in CP all along the building edges as well as across
radials and middle and inner circles.
• Central park, which is a pedestrian zone, can only be accessed by crossing inner circle where
vehicles move at moderately good speed.
