WHY DO WE HAVE TO SAVE THE PLANET?

Our environment now is in a bad state, a very bad state. This is because us
humans have abused our planet. Many of our activities in the recent years of our
existence left our planet in a very bad condition. We, the youth, as the “hope of the
dawn” must do all our best to save this planet. Why?
This planet is the only planet that can sustain life, well at least in our solar
system. This planet lies in the habitable zone of our solar system. Our planet's
destruction will result to us looking for another place in our solar system, or in our
galaxy, that can sustain us. We have figured out, in the recent times, we have tried to
answer the question, “Does Mars can sustain life?”. And as this essay is written up, the
author does not know the answer. Can we live on space? Well there are humans in
space, living in the International Space Station (ISS). But the whole humanity living in
space when our planet dies? We have to exert more and more effort and resources.
Scientists and astronomers have discovered a “earth like” planet outside our Solar
System. It is very much like our planet, but more huge. The answer if that planet can
sustain life is still a hypothesis. And if it can, does we have the capacity to go there? It is
light years away from ours, can humanity survives in the travel to that planet? And if we
can manage to go there, what if some existence are already living in that place? Talking
about extra terrestrial here. But it is a possibility, if the planet can sustain life, maybe
there is a life there now.
Well, this essay talks about what can we do if our planet dies. But do you think
this propositions are necessary? Why talk about this, and not doing necessary damage
control? Will we still wait for the day that our planet dies? We can save this planet now.
It is hard, but we still can.
You see, saving this planet means saving our race. Saving humanity itself. If we
continue to do things that destroy our planet, we directly contribute to humanity’s
suicide. A genocide of all people and other living creatures in this planet. A adventure
with no return, a war where all of us are losers. And to prevent all of this, we must save
the planet now.
