"School Education @ ₹ 90"
Design Competition, in association with CEGR

Introduction:
Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) is a leading and only educational
think tank in India, with four innovations. CEGR provides a platform for exchange of
dialogue among educationists, the media and policy makers and augments educational
growth and research.

CEGR is supporting one of the noble initiatives "School Education @ ₹ 90"

Under this project, Quality English Medium School will be delivered in rural India at ₹90
only. The First School under this project will be starting in 2022.

CIC -NSAPD, which is the Collaborative Incubation Centre of Nitte School of


Architecture, Planning & Design, wants to become a role model in designing and
translating the realizations of the full potential of Architecture, Planning and Design, by
developing a diverse, socially and environmentally responsible, enlightened
professional in design and Architecture, by collaborating with CEGR for this noble
cause.

In this regard, CIC -NSAPD is announcing a competition for the faculty members and
students of Nitte School of Architecture Planning and design.
Kindly note that, it is mandatory for every faculty member to participate in this
competition. Every faculty member has to pick up a team of 5 – 10 students and
participate in the competition.
CEGR and CIC-NSAPD will issue a joint certificate for all participants and the selected
entry will be honoured by CEGR.

• SCHOOL FACILITIES DESIGN HANDBOOK
• All CBSE Infrastructure guidelines for Permanent affiliation as in Affiliation
Bye-Laws
The Site:

The Site is located on a National Highway in Bihar, measuring approximately 18 Acres.


The Preferable design programme (but not limited to) is as mentioned below:
1. Building Envelope : Single building will be preferred
2. Classrooms : Minimum 48 Class Rooms
: Maximum 60 Class Rooms
(Preferable Size: 27’ x 20’)
3. Wash Rooms : Four on Each Floor (Two Ladies and Two Gents)
Preferably Near Staircases
4. Staircase : Preferably in the centre of Building
5. Laboratory : Physics, Chemistry, Bio, Mathematics, and four more.
(Total 8 Laboratories of preferable Size 30’ x 20’)
if possible, laboratory to be designed next to each other.
6. Seminar Hall : Maximum Size possible with a column free space.
7. Auditorium : Maximum Size possible with a preferable column free
space.
8. Balcony of Eight to ten Feet will connect class room in both side of Balcony
9. Apart from all this, All the CBSE Infrastructure guidelines for Permanent affiliation as in
Affiliation Bye-Laws
Format of the competition:
1. The participating team will consist of three teachers and 5-8 students.
2. The teachers are free to form their teams.
3. Students to be picked up from the 2018 and 2019 batch
4. It is made very clear that the students who participate in this competition will not
ask for any leniency in their academics.
Benefits to Student
1. Students will get Project Certificate from Centre for Education Growth and Research.
2. Trophy and Appreciation Certificate will be handed by an eminent person in a national
event by CEGR.
3. Opportunity to work in various research projects of CEGR in future with eminent
academicians and regulators.
