5BE IT ENACTED BY THIS UIL CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:


6SECTION 1. Intentional misrepresentation of the truth, formulated, spread, or

7 otherwise exacerbated by government officials, are considered fraud

8 under 18 U.S. Code Chapter 47.

9SECTION 2. “Intentional misrepresentation of the truth” shall be defined as: “any

10 communication from any politician or political candidate which

11 intentionally leads an individual to assume that which is false to be true,

12 including lies and lies of omission.

13SECTION 3. This bill will be overseen by the Federal Communications Commission.

14 A. The penalty for a first offense will be expulsion from the office

15 currently held, or if not currently in office, suspension from running

16 for elected office for a minimum of five (5) years.

17 B. The second offense will result in a permanent loss of right to hold or

18 contest for elected office, plus a monetary fine to be determined by

19 court.

20SECTION 4. This legislation will go into effect beginning fiscal year 2022
21SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
