Going shopping

Mrs. Smith is going shopping with her son. They are looking for a present for Mr. Smith's birthday. Mrs.
Smith wants to buy him a new camera and Tom wants to buy him a jumper.

They drive to the department store on the high street. Mrs. Smith uses
the escalator to go to the Electrical Department on the third floor and Tom
takes the stairs up to the Men's Clothing Department on the first floor.
When she gets to the Electrical Department she finds that cameras are
sold in the Photography Department on the ground floor. She takes the
elevator down and asks the sales assistant there for some help. She doesn't
know much about cameras and needs some advice. He recommends an
automatic camera by Olympus, but it is too expensive. She asks him if he
has anything a little cheaper and he tells her about a special offer on the Pentax range. It still seems expensive
so she thanks the assistant and decides to shop around first.

Mrs. Smith and Tom want to buy a present for Mr. Smith from the department store on the high street.
Unfortunately, they have a small budget and can’t afford much. Consequently, they go to the shops round the
corner.

2. Write a 90-100 word coherent text expressing your attitude to the given topic.

Paul Smith once said: “You can find inspiration in anything and if you can’t … look again”. What do
you think about the statement? Bring arguments and examples to support your point of view. Follow the
structure of an essay. Use the necessary linking words and expressions to connect your ideas.

Inspiration is the feeling of doing something creative.

I think there’re many ways to receive inspiration. However, reading books, watching movies and listening
to songs are the most efficient. For example, “Temple Grandin" is a biographical drama based on an autistic
woman's life, whose innovations revolutionized the practices of handling animals on farms. It’s definitely my
favorite film, as it inspires tolerance towards disabled people, and the idea that I'm capable to succeed if I'm
persistent.
So, I agree with this statement, because if we could take a moment to reflect, we’ll find out that everything
around us emanates inspiration.
