Writing Skills Assignment

Writing Task #1:

In 1999, Australia’s post-school’s qualification regarding both genders, male and female has
been showed in the graph. According to the graph only 10% of women have a skilled
vocational diploma while in the males, the percentage is 90%. When it comes to
undergraduate diploma the women are ahead of men by having 70% while the men have
almost 40% only. When compared for the bachelor’s degree the women are ahead of the men
with few percent, as males are 45% while females have 55%. When it comes to the post
graduate diploma, the men take the lead again by having 40% more than the women
percentage, which is almost 30%. The Australian female citizens who hold the master’s
degree has a percentage of 40% while the Australian male citizens who has the ownership of
master’s degree is 60%.

Writing Task #2:

Being an artist myself, I do strongly believe in the freedom of the creative artist. But I don’t
think so giving them too much freedom would be a good idea. As excess of everything has
backlashes. Artist should be allowed to show their ideas, thoughts and opinion about the
world as they have the right to do so. But the artist should focus on this that they must not
abuse the power of freedom, and don’t use the excuse of freedom to penetrate through
sensitive topics. i.e. There are pages on the Facebook who openly bash Islam and Mullah for
everything is happening in the world while using freedom of speech as their weapon. Like, if
far away in the west, a bird dies. They’ll somehow connect it to the Mullahs being behind it.
They should know that they are living in Pakistan, a country who got its independence on the
name of Islam. How can one sit on Facebook, say bad stuff about Islamic sentiments? Claim
that Pakistan is going to be a Communist/Secular country. It’s crystal clear that Pakistan was
made on the name of Islam, it will remain that way. Not to mention it doesn’t do anything
Islamic but still. But now if you claim that its your freedom of speech to say such things, its

nothing but foolishness. The writers, movies maker etc. They should respect the culture and
religion that surround them in a specific community and yes, they should raise their voice
against wrong things, but not for the sake of personal grudge or hate. Which has become so
common in Pakistan these days.

Government should interfere when it’s must, as few months ago there were some people who
openly started saying blasphemous things which caused a lot of unpleasantness in the State.
So, the step government took that anyone who will do that will serve in the prison was a good
move to stabilize the situation.
