I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a. share insights about the importance of knowing fact and opinion in our
daily living,
b. identify what is fact and opinion;
b. differentiate the statement whether it is fact or opinion; and
c. perform a news broadcasting and talk show as an example of fact and
opinion.
II. SUBJECT MATTER: Fact and Opinion

III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preliminary Activities

 Checking of Attendance
B. Developmental Activities
The class will play “Gimme a Letter”. Each blank in the chart represents a
letter. All they have to do is guess a letter until all the blanks will be filled
with its corresponding letter.
C. Abstraction
The teacher will let the class watch a video about facts and opinion.
Afterwards, the teacher will further the discussion by providing examples.
D. Application
1. Valuing
The teacher will ask the students about the importance of knowing the
difference between fact and opinion in our everyday living.
2. Outcome/Performance
The class will be divided into four groups. Each group will have to perform
a creative dramatization on the importance of communication. Make sure
to incorporate the use of the literary devices. Each group will be graded
based on the given performance standard.

8. Cell phones emit radiation that may or may not cause brain cancer.
9. People should not be allowed to talk on cell phones in a movie theater.
10. Oranges contain both calcium and vitamin C.
