    An old janitor named Jiyu finds a present wrapped in bright red paper in an empty classroom. The note on the present says "To Janitor-san, arigatou,<3". He flashes back to an earlier incident where he helped a crying boy named Yuuto by carrying him to the nurse and cleaning his scraped knee. Yuuto had fallen from the monkey bars and hurt himself.     SHORT SYNOPSIS

    An old janitor receives a present from an unexpected giver.

    CHARACTERS

    Jiyu aka Janitor-san: 50 years old. Works as a janitor at ABC


    Kindergarten. A long-time employee of the said kindergarten.
    Friendly, courteous and helpful.

    Yuuto: 5 years old. A pupil from ABC Kindergarten. Playful,


    mischievous, cute and smart to friends and family but shy and
    fearful to others.

    1. INSIDE THE CLASSROOM (15 seconds)

    A single present lies in the middle of the room.


    Cue wheel sounds (3 seconds).

    An old janitor, aka Jiyu, appears as he opened the door. He went


    inside the room as carried a mop and bucket with a wiping cloth.
    He noticed the present once he fully went inside the classroom
    because the present was wrapped bright red colored paper with
    white paper ribbon on top. He looked around the room, he
    hesitantly went to the present and saw a little note attached to
    it. He read the note aloud.

    JIYU:
    "To Janitor-san, arigatou,<3"

    The note was written in scribbly crayon with little drawings of


    flowers.

    (Jiyu delicately unwrapped the present.)

    2. KINDERGARTEN'S PLAYGROUND/ EARLY MORNING (FLASHBACK)


    (55 seconds)

    A kid is crying as his knee has a scratch in it. The janitor saw
    the kid as he went pass. He went to the kid.

    JIYU:
    "Oh, my boy. What happened?"

    YUUTO:
    "(crying)I... *hiccups* I fell down from the monkey bars and
    *hiccups* and scratched my knee *hiccups* it... *hiccups* hurts
    *cries harder*

    JIYU:
    "There. There."
    (pats his back softly and gently.)

    JIYU:
    "Why don’t we go to the nurse? So, we can get you clean up and
    get band aid?"

    YUUTO:
    “*hiccups* o...kay”

    JIYU:
    "Can you still get up?"

    YUUTO:
    "*hiccups* no. It hurts"

    JIYU:
    "Let me carry you."

    YUUTO:
    "Okay*hiccups*"

    (Carries the boy to the infirmary)

    He saw there was no nurse yet when they arrived. He set the boy
    down on one of the infirmary beds as he looked for an alcohol,
    cotton balls and a band-aid in a cabinet. He went back to the
    boy.

    JIYU:
    "May I, my boy? This will only sting a little."

    YUUTO:
    "Only a little?"

    JIYU:
    "Only a little."

    YUUTO:
    "Promise?"

    "Promise."

    YUUTO:(hesitates)
    "okay"

    Cleaning up the wound as the boy flinches (3 seconds) the janitor


    wrapped the wound in a cartoony band-aid.

    YUUTO:
    "Thank you, Janitor-san"

    3. INSIDE THE CLASSROOM (5 seconds)


    JIYU:
    "You're welcome, my boy"
    (smiles as he gazes the present)

    The present was a childish drawing of the janitor and the kid
    holding hands along with a small candy bar attached.
