A. Go$ is Holy
God is holy, and as such is the source and standard of w hat is right. God is
free from all evil, loves all truth and goodness. :e values purity and detest
impurity and in authenticity God, God cannot approve of any evil, has no
pleasure in evil %3salm A' (, and cannot tolerate evil %:aba!!u! 1'1-@1 (. God
abhors do not stand in awe of abstract holiness but of the holy one % saiah 8'+A(.
:oliness is not solely the product of God;s will but a changeless characteristic of
his eternal nature. The #uestion 3lato as! therefore needs to be rewarded to apply
to the 2hristian God.
The good, just, the pure, the holy is holy, not by reason of an arbitrary act
of the divine will, nor of a principle independent of God, but because if is an
outflow of his nature. God always will in accord with his nature consistently. :e
wills the good because he is good, and because he is holy, he consistently hates
sin and is repulsed by all evil without respect of persons.

God is just, or righteous, God;s justice or righteous is revealed in his

*ove cares for the aged, the opposed, the poor, the orphans, and others in
need. The loving God of the bible is not unmoved by %or impossible toward(

through imagination into feeling of his creatures. Beyond that, God@incarnate
