Globalization is the process of interaction and integration among the people, companies of different
nations. Globalization has broken down the artificial barrier to the flow of goods, services, knowledge
and people across borders. Globalization is the debatable topic nowadays regarding the growth of
economy of the developing countries. Though it has some negative impacts, it can be a blessing if the
negative impacts can be reduced. It is obvious that for the development of any country globalization is
very important. There are some reasons why globalization is a blessing. Firstly, one of the most
important benefits of the globalization is that it has increased the faster transportation of goods and
people through trade agreements. Trade is an engine of growth. It shows a positive relationship
between trade openness and GDP. Example of China and India shows that globalization stimulates
growth. Secondly, it can solve unemployment and poverty. Globalization generates employment.
Particularly, FDI generates employment. In Singapore FDI generates sixty percent of employment.
Thirdly, globalization increases technological change an productivity.it creates a large market for new
technology. For example, OPPO and VIVO are the Chinese mobile companies. They have taken a huge
market share in India and Bangladesh. It happened because of globalization. It has also increased the
productivity of domestic industries because domestic industries are destroyed by competitive firm of
abroad companies. For example, LG, SONY, SAMSUNG are the huge competitors of MYONE, WALTON,
SYMPHONY which are the companies of our country. It has made available better goods at low price.
Fourthly, Closer integration of economic share of world exports in world GDP has been doubled in
recent years than past thirty to forty years. Moreover, globalization promotes migration. Temporary
migration through remittances has promoted investment in developing countries. Finally, MNCs has
increased the globalization a lot. MNCs has helped world economy in various ways and it has also helped
developing countries like Bangladesh. Because of those reasons, globalization is a blessing.
