1. What is the mean and median age of the respondents?

2. What percentage of the respondents are male? Show it in a frequency table and a pie chart.
3. Draw a frequency table and bar chart for the joker question response
4. Show the educational qualification status in a pie chart

t-test

We are going to learn three different t-tests

1. One sample t-test

2. Paired Sample t-test
3. Independent Samples t-test

One Sample t-test

The One Sample t-test determines whether a sample mean is statistically different from a known or
given or hypothesized population mean.

1. Is the mean weight of my sample significantly different from 60 kg?

2. Is the mean height of my sample significantly different from the average national height of
America which is 200cm?

Hypothesis

Null Hypothesis: There is no statistically significant difference between the two means

Alternate Hypothesis: There is a statistically significant difference between the two means

Paired Sample t-test

Paired-samples t-test is used when you want to compare the mean scores for the same group of
people on two different occasions.

For example:

1. Mean weight of the sample before 3-month exercise vs mean weight of the sample after the
3-month exercise
2. Average blood pressure of 20 people before running vs average blood pressure of the same
20 people after running

The paired sample t-test, sometimes called the dependent sample t-test, is a statistical procedure
used to determine whether the mean difference between two sets of observations is different or
not. In a paired sample t-test, each subject or entity is measured twice, resulting in pairs of
observations.

Hypothesis

Null Hypothesis: There is no statistically significant difference between the two means

Alternate Hypothesis: There is a statistically significant difference between the two means
Questions

1. Is there any statistically significant difference between the mean weights of the respondents
before and after the 3-month exercise program?
