From Coronavirus to Tariffs Workshop

On Monday, March 16, NPF hosted an all-day online workshop on Slido, covering all
things related to the coronavirus and its impact on trade in the U.S. and internationally.

Speakers included Myron Brilliant of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer Hillman
of the Council on Foreign Relations, Scott Paul of the Alliance for American
Manufacturing, Kurt Tong of Asia Group and reporters Rick Dunham of Global Business
Journalism, Megan Cassella of Politico and Paul Wiseman of the Associated Press.

Coronavirus and Poverty: Analyzing the Impact of COVID19 on


Homeless and Vulnerable Populations
NPF will host three weekly webinars with Kaiser Permanente, beginning next Monday. Each
webinar will occur at noon on March 30, April 6 and April 13. The webinars will cover the
effect that the coronavirus has on the homeless and vulnerable populations.

Congratulations to past NPF fellows Alexandra Glorioso of Politico (Opioids 2018) and Lawrence
Mower of the Tampa Bay Times (Statehouse 2019). They were married on Friday, March 20, in
between coronavirus assignments. The couple lives in Tallahassee and covers the state
government.
