More than half of the Romanian students want to start their own business in the next two
years, and supporting entrepreneurship is a solution to be considered for the problem of
youth unemployment.

"Romanian youths are willing to work hard for what they want, according to a recent
analysis among 765 students conducted by EY together with the Academy of Economic
Studies. According to the same analysis, 52% of these young people are interested in
developing their own business in the next two years. Given these data, young Romanians
must be supported in order to become entrepreneurs through clear measures, which derive
from the successful measures and schemes applied in other countries and adapted to
Romanian realities”, has declared in a statement Mihaela Matei , who is a coordinator of the
Romanian Entrepreneurship Barometer project and Special Projects Communication Officer,
EY Romania, according Mediafax.

EY representatives appreciate that supporting entrepreneurship is a solution to be

considered for the problem of youth unemployment. "Recent studies by EY have shown that
entrepreneurial businesses will generate more jobs than large corporations in 2015 - with
76% of entrepreneurs saying they intend to expand their workforce in 2014, compared to
31% of executives from large corporations, " it is mentioned in the statement.

According to EY, the unemployment rate among young people in OECD countries reached
15.7%, while in EU countries it was 23.4% at the beginning of 2014, with small variations in
both cases compared to the previous year. In Romania, although last year the youth
unemployment rate was below the European average, in the first quarter of 2014 this rate
reached 25.7%, after a continuous increase in the last three quarters. "Youth unemployment
is a persistent problem worldwide, which, despite improving economic conditions, remains
very high. Ensuring an active entrepreneurial ecosystem is one of the best ways to address
youth unemployment, both because of the large number of jobs generated by
entrepreneurs, as well as due to the professional fulfillment that starting one's own business
can offer to young people ", has declared in the statement Bogdan Ion, country managing
partner, EY Romania.

I. Introduce eachother starting with a small talk and asking basic questions in order to make
conversation (such as: name, job, hobbies, etc.) 10-12 min

II. Objectives of the lesson:- talking about the future plans

- future forms: present continuous, going to, will / won't

III. Read the text (each person a small paraghaph) and the discuss the unknown
word/phrases. 5-7 min

IV. In order to intoduce the grammar part i will ask the students to find examples in the text
for present continuous, going to and will (e.g. will generate, are willing etc.) so that they will
figure it out by themselves the grammar rule. After that we will discuss the grammar matter
and i will explain how we can form the future using the present continuous, going to and
will. 12-15 min.

V. For practice, there will be given exercises which will combine all of the forms. (also
incorporating a listening exercise) E.g.: 15 min

-also, because the students work in a corporate, it is suitable to discuss work-related

matters. The students will answer one at the time so that each one will be given the same
amount of time. We want to avoid a situation where a student dominates the conversation
and another one doesn't talk at all.
VI. As a final exercise, in order to achieve our goal and to be able to use the future forms we
will discuss some questions about future plans and each of the students will answer them
using the future.
