Student Code of Conduct

Class Behaviour

I agree that I will:

 Arrive at class five minutes before the start time as detailed on the timetable (unless I have been
informed otherwise by NEIS staff or trainer). I understand that if I am more than 15 minutes late
for the beginning of class I will not be able to join the class until the first break
 Return from breaks at the time specified by my trainer. I understand that if I am more than 5
minutes late I will not be able to join the class until the next break.
TRAINERS ARE ASKED TO ENFORCE THESE RULES SO PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL
 Contact my local Area Manager when I can’t attend class so that they can inform the trainer
 Show respect to my trainers and class mates
 Turn off my mobile phone whilst in class, or at the very least put it on silent. I understand I am not
allowed to use my phone during class time other than in an emergency.
o Note: An emergency call is if I have a sick family member (child, parent or partner). All
other calls during class time are to go to voicemail.
o I understand that I have regular breaks during the day that allow me to retrieve
messages and make calls if needed, including those from a prospective client or similar.
 Try to ensure restroom breaks coincide with class breaks as I understand that people walking in
and out of class during class disturbs other class members.
 Not participate in the following activities during class time, unless directed by my trainer.
 General web browsing
 Social Media
 Emailing
 Gaming
 Not arrive to class under the influence of drugs or alcohol
 Ensure the training room is left tidy, throwing rubbish in the bin and removing all personal
belongings before leaving each day
