INTRODUCTION, please do watch the detailed
explanation of how to do Profile Search in
MICROS OPERA. Please make sure
you familiarize yourself on how to navigate
Opera and its usage while we are waiting for us
to have access, this will also help you have a
better understanding with the functions in Micros
Opera.
Below are some guided questions and
information that you can use while watching the

1. Profile is the cornerstone of the
whole Micros Opera application, without
profile we cannot do anything in PMS
2. Over the course of the life of
the PMS at any hotel you will encounter
tens if not hundreds of thousand of
Profiles
3. Profiles are used by the PMS to
store the relevant information about each
individual guest or account to be able to
search for those profiles

Profile ID number, it will always look into
the system for the next available number

always remain the same unless it merge

entered in profile, it can be quickly be
accessed from other areas of OPERA
such as reservations, billing, accounts
receivable, and elsewhere.
2. Travel Agent profiles are used
to pay commissions and for tracking
production statistics by travel agency.In a
profile record, multiple addresses can be
recorded. 
3. Attachments allow you to select
and create file attachments to the profile
for mail merges and other possibilities.
4. Profile Notes allow you to add
general or background information about
a guest to better accommodate them
5. The Preferences
function enables you to associate likes
and dislikes (such as favorite room type,
desired room features and floor location,
choice of wine and newspaper, etc.) with
the current profile, enhancing your
service to the guests and companies you
do business with. Preferences entered in
the profile apply to every reservation for
this guest in future; thus, only save
preferences that the guest always
requests.
6. In a profile record, multiple
addresses can be recorded.

module will roll-down. Clicking on the sub-menu will
activate a command or open a window.

8. When a guest has a preference
is his reservation, where will you go in During certain instances, users find it easier to
the Micros Opera Menu? navigate through the different screens by using only
the keyboard commands. There are Alt Keys, Shift
Keys, Control Keys, and Function Keys shortcuts.
You will notice that for every option in the menu Alt + O – Rooms Management
bar, a letter is underlined. You can activate this
option by pressing the Alt Key + the underlined Alt + A – AR
letter.
