Task 1
1. Make a description of your best teacher colleague with regard to her/his physical and
mental appearances.

“My Best English Teacher Colleague”

Each person has a great partner for sure in their life such as friend, wife/husband, or
even a teacher. Here, I would like to tell about teacher. Because the teacher is a person
who contributed to deliver and pour the knowledge they have to the students. Talking
about teacher, I have a best teacher colleague in my school namely Mr. Dedi
Kurniawan. He is an English teacher same as me. He is my favorite teacher colleague.
We work at SMK Bintang Nusantara Rumbia. Mr. Dedi is a very kind and helpful
person. He is about thirty one years old. He lives in Putra Rumbia.
Mr Dedi is tall and quite chubby. He is also manly. He has short, curly and black
hair. He has brown skin. He has a pointed nose. His eyes are big and coloring black. He
also has a mole in his chin.
Mr. Dedi is smart and humble person. He is very patient and friendly. He always
helps and supports me when I have a problem. He is a brave person. He always comes
up with a good opinion when there is a meeting at school. His ideas are great to
implement. Many teachers in our school like him. I and him usually collaborate in
making learning tools and also share knowledge to find good strategies for teaching in
class. He always has brilliant ideas.
He is a diligent teacher. He never comes late when going to school. He often gets a
reward from Headmaster as the best and favorite teacher in our school. So, that’s why I
like him very much. Sometimes I think I want to be like him. Be someone who has good
charisma and is also respected by many people. Mr. Dedi is really a good teacher and
colleague.

2. Write a description of one of the tourism places in your region that you like best.
And describe the place as interestingly as possible in order to attract the local
visitors to come.
Tirta Gangga Lake

Tirta Gangga Lake is one of the most favorite tourism places in Seputih Banyak, Central
lampung. It sounds unfamiliar for either local or foreign tourists. But it is an interesting tourism
place. It is located in Swastika Buana Village (SB 13) Seputih Banyak District, Central Lampung
Regency. The distance is about 60 kilometers from Gunung Sugih. If it is from Bandar Lampung
City to Tirta Gangga Lake, the distance is about 100 km with a travel time of approximately three
hours. Tirta Gangga is the only lake in Sb 13.
Tirta Gangga Lake has an area of about 200 hectares and is used by the residents for
irrigating 3000 hectares of agricultural land around the area. It is also located in a settlement of
Balinese descent so that the aura of Hindu culture is very thick. This lake is visited by local
residents to enjoy the natural panorama of the lake, and as a means of entertainment. The lake is
very suitable as a picnic location with friends or to spend the afternoon for fishing. The green
nature around the lake makes the eyes refreshed and feels the freshness of the air which is still
original classified.
Beside the beautiful panorama with Exotic Sunset scene in the afternoon, Tirta Gangga
Lake Central Lampung also has an interesting cultural value to research. The Bima statue and also
the existence of an iconic temple in the middle of the lake are both beautiful and meaningful
objects. Both of these are located in the middle so, like a small island. The wide expanse of water
and shady trees around it add to the coolness of the charming Tirta Gangga Lake. The condition of
this lake is more than 50% filled with water hyacinth plants, so that when viewed from a distance it
looks like a savanna or grassland. When visitors come to this tourist spot, they will see a nice view.
Apart from being a tourist spot, this lake is also usually used as a fishing spot. Around this place
there is also a children's play area so not only adults can enjoy the beauty of this tourist spot but
also children. The most appropriate time to take pictures is in the afternoon after 16.00 WIB
because at that time visitors can see a beautiful sunset view.
