1. Transitive Clause : Kata kerja yang diikuti “direct object” untuk


menerima aksi dari subject.
a) The man has run his business since 1988.
b) My family eats long-grain rice.
2. Intransitive Clause : Kata kerja yang tidak diikuti oleh “direct object”
sebagai penerima aksi karena memeang aksi yang dibutuhkan tidak
melibatkan direct object
a) Cheryl often sneezes while cleaning her house.
b) She locked annoyed when her friends come to her house.
3. Equative Clause : adalah konstruksi yang menunjukkan bahwa dua NP
setara, atau verb yang biasa diikuti oleh adjective, noun atau adjective
phrase.
a) Nisyha Anton is Her.
b) Ray is Comedian
4. Nominal Clause : adalah clause dependent yang berfungsi sebagai noun
(yaitu sebagai subject, object atau compliment) dalam sebuah kalimat.
Diikuti ole “WH”.

b) I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we

5. Adjectival clause : Atau relative clause adalah dependent clause yang
berfungsi sebagai adjective dan menjelaskan noun atau pronoun pada
main clause. Yang diikuti oleh “WH”

b) The man, whose car is antique, works as a lecturer.
6. Adverbial Clause : adalah dependent clause yang berfungsi sebagai adverb
dan memberikan informasi tentang verb, adjective, atau adverb yang
berada pada independent clause.

b) He face is fresh because she always does exercise and eats fruits.
