Good morning everyone.

Foremost, I would like to thank all of you for spending your time today for a very important endeavor:
The LDM Course for Teachers LAC Sessions.

Of course, SHs & MTs don’t have a choice but to handle this responsibility since this demands the
position thereto. But nevertheless, we are not doing it for our benefit, but to our LAC Members, who are
our colleagues for the benefit of our end product, our clientele. To the greater extent, I would like to
thank as well the non-MTs. You are chosen based from my observations, feedback from your GLCs, your
competence and of course from my trust and confidence. Here is hoping that all of you would
collaborate closely with your LAC Leaders because each of you supports the other for the success of
every session.

I know that you are equip now with knowledge and skills after your orientation with Division facis. But it
is not enough yet, that is just the beginning, the real bottle will be during the onsite sessions. So this
levelling off today is very important for you to have full grasp of the contents and how every activity will
run. But I suggested to Mam Cherryl to do this every Module only, so you will have focus. Also this
gathering would is essential for you to have the same pacing. Meaning, whatever the language,
understanding and materials of one team will be the same in all teams. No one should be left behind.
Hence, I want everyone to brainstorm, to strategize and to learn from each other specially that you will
journey not just from your co-facis but to your LAC Members as well. So again, the very purpose of this
convergence is to have common understanding on what to do, what to facilitate, how activities will run,
how to deepen understanding, the materials needed, ask gray areas, and address issues and concerns if
any so that when LAC commences, everything is set.

We are gathered here today for this very important mission; the conduct of Learning Delivery Modalities
Course 2 For Teachers Learning Action Cell.

Due to the current pandemic we are experiencing, embracing change is a struggle and a journey that
needs knowledge, wisdom, strength & patience. We are just fortunate, that inspite all odds in our work,
DepEd has made strategic interventions just to make sure that learning will continue. This course was
made possible to provide Technical Assistance & empower the school leaders and teachers to have full
grasp & KSAs of the different LDMs prior to the opening of classes. This course was crafted by the NEAP
with the generous support & assistance by the Bureau partners in the Department. And since this is a
course, each of you will need to comply with all the requirements to be compiled in a Portfolio for you
to be given certificate of participation and completion. This will also be part of your IPCR, hence
everyone should work and collaborate since this is part of your performance.

In this time of pandemic, we are challenge specially in the delivery of teaching and learning that is why
the NEAP is providing us courses for us to be guided what things are we going to track, what plans are
we going to implement and how are we going to compare the implementation to see to it that
everything will be in place comes October 5, 2020.

So the very purpose why this course is being given to ensure that we can minimize the risk of unlearning
and we can maximize the proficiency level and the learning outcomes for our learners. This was crafted
further, to guarantee that our end products even in Modular Distance Learning Modality, the learning
outcomes will still be higher. Most importantly, to prepare, motivate and improve your confidence in
executing lessons in this new normal of education.

Therefore, for you to be ready, for you to be more competent and confident, for you to have similar
understanding and pacing, would need your active participation, attentiveness, teamwork and in depth
reflections. The latter is so essential because this would allow you to discern on your weak practices and
perspectives and how these things will be intervened in order that you will improve as a person and as a
public servant.

So this is just the beginning of our new operations. LAC Sessions will not up until the last Module only,
but will be continuous as the case maybe, specially that the most challenging part here is on how you
are toto translate your learnings and plans to sustain and enhance performance of your students despite
the present difficult times.

You do not need to worry for your outputs and how are you to apply what you gained here. Your LAC
Leaders, facilitators and yours truly are ready to assist you the best way we can. Let us just be open
minded of our new mandates, directives, updates and innovations. Let us embrace these changes,
follow, and master instead. After all, these are our weapon for us to equipped in this battle. Let us help
one another to widen our spectrum and accept the fact that each one is a learner regardless of position.
