Issue: Pollution

-Pollution is one of the global issues we’re facing for the past year up to now it is because
of our negligence, lack of discipline and abusing the nature that created by God, pollution getting
worse as time goes by. One of the reasons that creates pollution is the advancement of technology,
transportation, dumping of garbage , fertilizers and factories that leads in risking our health.

Advocacy:

Green Future! Waste for change!

I choose this advocacy to ensure the future that they have a place to live, a healthy and clean
environment, For the community to have awareness of the present issues and its effect on the
environment that we must cooperate and discipline ourselves to have a better future.

Program:

 Encouraging the community to have a sense of caring for the environment through
socialization on how to dispose or segregate waste.

 Teach the community on how to reduce waste disposal, reusing items that still can be
used and recycling.

 Prohibition of using plastic bags anywhere and citizens in the community requires to do
responsible Waste Management.

 Each household must have a proper Waste Disposal bin.

 Ensure that the each Barangay’s provide a Waste collection services for clean
surroundings

 Plant more trees to reduce air pollution

 Giveaway of information pamphlet so that the community especially the youth has guide
on the present issues of the environment giving awareness so they can be a part of the
solution.

 I will facilitate a symposium and invite speakers who are Pollution experts to discuss and
give trainings or ways in protecting the environment to be held in barangay’s and
School.

School:

 School has a big part on reducing and give to end the pollution by educating the students
the proper Waste disposal, knowledge about the 4r’s (reduce,reuse,recycle,repai).

 Post School signs to remind students to used recycled products and other environmentally
friendly products and when leaving the classrooms they must turn off the lights when not
in use.
 Most of the School, especially the RMMC is implementing the no plastic policy inside the
campus, it helps students to discipline themselves and to avoid throwing their garbage
anywhere.

 School also have biggest contribution in maintaining the green environment. A perfect
example for this is the NSTP which is required for every students to comply or atleast have
a project like planting trees.
