I wish to recognise the help of Mr. Makukula who provide guidance regarding this project
and my fellow student Mangalashi Marrian who were provided moral support together with
my mother that saw me complete this research work.

ABSTRACT
This study aims at investigating the Sociometric relationships in 8A of Miselo Kapika
Demonstration School of Serenje District. The ultimate aim of this was to ensure that these
relationships are altered in order to improve pupils classroom performance.

Descriptive survey design will be used, in which quantitative and qualitative design will be
used. Data will be collected using questionnaires from teacher of Miselo Kapika
Demonstration School of Serenje District. Interviews will also be done.

Data was presented in both tables. This collected data was analyzed qualitatively and
quantitatively. Data analysis was done by description and explanations of the responses from
the respondents which were presented in tables and figures in numerals and percentages.

The target group consisted of learners of 8A class of Miselo Demonstration School and the
teacher who were teaching them. These were selected as they contained individuals who were
expected in the target group.
