Resource Management System


Resource management is all about doing more with less. Nobody likes waste, especially
in business. Resource management revolves around optimization and efficiency. You
can effectively plan out the optimal way to use those resources when you know what
they are and how to use them efficiently and to their maximum potential.

Requirements for a Resource Management System


1. Knowing Your Resources

For any business to implement resource management in to the company it is the basic
requirement to know their resources , what is the contribution of those resources in the
business.

2. Quantification of Resources

Quantify each type of resource required. To quantify the resources, you’ll need to
consider the resources, and estimate their effort on the project.

3. Resource Forecasting

Resource forecasting is a plan of the resources required to deliver a project. 

4. Progress Management and Tracking

Progress tracking is an important part of the resource management system, it enables


you to see the actual progress of each of the employee or the resource and optimize it
according to the need of the company.

5. Resource Planning

Resource planning is a way that maximizes the utilization of available resources and
considers the availability of staff, their skills, their preferences, their location and
timezone, and maps them against projects and organizational goals.
6. Resource Scheduleing
Schedule the consumption of each resource within the project.
To schedule the resources, you’ll need a project schedule so you know who to book,
when, and for how long.

7. Admin Level
This level has the access to all the information and data about the any employee of the
company.

8. Employer Level
This page is accessible to the employer to check the employee’s progress and track the
flow of the ongoing project. This also consists of a performance tab which shows the
performance of an employee over a period of time. Moreover this also has all the
information of all the employees under the employer.

9. Employee Level
Each employee has his or her own profile and information about them and can check
their progress or add any milestone achieved which helps them maintain there schedule,
their leaves etc.
