TYPES OF ART

Animation Art
The French artist Émile Cohl created the first animated film using what came to be known as
traditional animation methods: the 1908 Fantasmagorie. Animation is the rapid display of
sequences of static imagery in such a way as to create the illusion of movement.
The art or process of making movies with drawings, computer graphics, or photographs of static
objects, including all techniques other than the continuous filming of live-action images.

Ceramics
In art history, ceramics and ceramic art mean art objects such as figures, tiles, and
tableware made from clay and other raw materials by the process of pottery. Some
ceramic products are regarded as fine art, while others are regarded as decorative,
industrial or applied art objects, or as artifacts in archaeology. Most traditional ceramic
products were made from clay, shaped and subjected to heat, and tableware and
decorative ceramics are generally still made this way

Collage
The term collage derives from the French term papiers collés (or découpage), used to
describe techniques of pasting paper cut-outs onto various surfaces. It was first used as
an artists’ technique in the early twentieth century. Collage describes both the technique
and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other
ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface.
