It is important to know if a word is a noun, a verb, an adjective, or


an adverb. This is one of the most common types of error tested in
the Written Expression section. These errors involve using one part
of speech for another, a noun instead of a verb, an adjective
instead of an adverb, etc.

Noun form: Electricity traveled down the wire.


(La electricidad viajó/bajó por el cable.)

Verb form: Franklin was not electrocuted by lightning


(Franklin no fue electrocutado por el rayo.)

Adjective form: An electrical current ran down the wire.


Una corriente eléctrica atravesó el cable.)

Adverb form: The machine runs electrically.


(La máquina funciona eléctricamente.)
