Additional points to note:
Gerunds are verbs with –ing however, these words do NOT function as a verb but a
noun.
Infinitive is a verbal consisting the word to plus a verb in its simplest form. It may act
as a noun, adjective, or adverb depending on how it is used.
Articles and determiners such ‘as a, an, the’ are adjectives since they modify nouns.
Some words can be under one or more parts of speech. Hence, we look into their
‘grammatical function’ or how they are used in the sentence.
