My Philosophy of Education

My Classroom Environment

I want my students to feel welcome when they step into my classroom. I want my students to feel
comfortable in the classroom so they won’t be scared to ask questions or talk to their classmates. I will
ask a question each day so I can get to know them and they can get to know me better. I also will call
them up one by one to talk to me in the first week of school during class to get to know them more and
to know what they struggle with.

My Ideal Classroom

I want my classroom to have an area where students can sit down on bean bags and just do their work
comfortably. I also want a table or a shelf near the entrance of the door for students to turn in work or
to get the work for the day there. I want the tables to be groups of 4 or 5 so the students can ask
questions to their table groups if they need help with something. I also want my classroom to bright
and full of inspiration so I want posters of inspirational quotes in my classroom.

Student/Teacher Relationship

I want my students to feel like they can open up to me if they’re having problems outside of school. I
also want my students to feel comfortable to ask questions any time. I’m gonna learn each one of my
students by handing out a sticker with their name in the first week of school to put on their clothes so
other students will know their names and I will too. I will also call each student one by one to tell me
what they struggle with so i can help them with it in any way and through the year i will learn if they
struggle with anything else.

Motivating My Students

I want to motivate my students by doing my best to make learning fun. I also want my students to not
worry about homework or work they didn’t finish that day. I want to give time in the beginning of class
to finish work they didn’t finish last class or used the beginning of class to ask questions about
something. I want to combine learning with a game so they’ll find it fun.

My Primary Goal

As a teacher I want to be a teacher who is fun and chill but actually makes sure my students are
learning everything. I want my students not to struggle with their work. I want my students to be able to
open up to me about anything that's bothering them whether it's in school or outside of school so I can
help them. I want my students to remember me as a fun, caring and great teacher.
