NARRATIVE
THE OER LAC session was conducted on the 7 th day of August 2019 at 3:00 to 5:30 in the
afternoon at the ICT room. The session was composed of 22 teachers from Caranglaan Elementary
School and 5 of which are the facilitators. It was started with a prayer projected by an AVP followed by
the National Anthem. The session was led by the facilitators and opens it by introducing the Open
Educational Resources (OER) Project. It was clearly discussed that OER Project has increasingly
been recognized by the international community as an innovative tool for meeting the challenges of
providing lifelong learning opportunities for learners from diverse levels and modes of education
worldwide.
After which the participants were group by grade level and was given facilitators to assist
each group to ensure that participants will really learn the tool. The tool “word share” and “course lab
2.4” were installed in the laptop of each participant. The course lab 2.4 was discussed first followed by
the word share. It was projected on a white big screen for participants be able to fully understand the
step by step procedure of the tool. The facilitators were really patience in teaching the tool yet they
were happy whenever the participants got the instructions. The flow of the lac session was organized
and systematic because each participant was really focused on their module and eager to learn the
new tool.
The participants enjoyed and amazed by the new method introduced to them. They were
happy that another instructional tool was given to them and will really help each teacher to motivate
and make the class more interactive. It was really a great help. #happylearner #happyteacher
