Task 9

For me it is a very difficult ranking because every event played a great role
in existing England as a huge country with its owns principles.
I would like to put on the first place changes in court system because it
helped people get fair deal with their cases in courts. To my mind it helped to a lot
of people to be innocent of what they have done not bear so much damage to the
country and society. On second place I would put when the Anglican Church
replaced the Catholic Church, so England became less dependent from Rome and
helped England gain a foothold in the political arena. On the third place I would
put 2 of events: Sir Francis sailed round the world and geographical discoveries
made the basis for the future Colonial Empire. I think these 2 events played a great
role for the future Colonial Empire. For examples discoveries opened great
capabilities to create a great Empire step by step.
The fourth is when England became a super naval power in the world. To
my mind that helped strengthen England and continue to conquer new lands. And
of course this fact made other countries fear this power.
And the last one it was English Renaissance discovered great poets and
dramatists. Of course we shouldn’t forget about great play writer William
Shakespeare. His famous work "Romeo and Juliet" is translated into many
languages of the world, and people who did not read it must have heard about this
story of two young, in love people and their tragic fate. So from my point of view
it is the most suitable ranking of important events.
