DOCUMENT CHECKLISTS FOR A STUDY PERMIT 

I have enclosed the following items:

➔ A photocopy of the information page of your valid passport or travel document which includes:
● The passport number,
● The issuance and expiry dates,
● Your photo, name, date and place of birth.

Note: If you require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and your study permit application is approved, you
will need to provide your original passport for the visa counterfeit to be issued. Refer to the
responsible visa office for your region.
➔ Letter of acceptance from where you intend to study (We should be having this document on
your behalf as we are the one to apply for admission to the Canadian institution).
➔ Proof of your financial support which includes:

➔ Bank statement for last 6 months,


➔ Solvency certificate with two years expenses,
➔ Trade License/Proof of Employment
➔ Affidavit
➔ Tax Identification Number Certificate,
➔ Tax Clearance Certificate for the last two years,
➔ Business Audit Report.
➔ A photocopy of your birth certificate.
➔ A photocopy of your National Identification Card. If you do not have this, a copy of your birth
certificate would be sufficient.
➔ A photocopy of your marriage certificate (only if you are married).
➔ A copy of Police Clearance Certificate.
➔ A Sponsor Financial Declaration sworn before the notary publication/advocate.
➔ A well written study plan. When you are applying for a visa, you are required to write a “Study
Plan” outlining why you wish to come to Canada to study. Below are the questions you will want
to answer when you are writing out your study plan. You will want to submit a one-page study
plan which answers the following questions:

❖ Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
❖ What is your overall educational goal?
❖ Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence or of
citizenship?
❖ What research have you done into studies in your country of residence or of citizenship?
❖ How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of
residence or of citizenship?
❖ What ties do you have to your country of residence or of citizenship?
❖ Provide details of your education history – dates when the course started and ended,
the name and address of the school.
➔ A copy of your IELTS Transcript (if you have completed the IETLS examination).
 
**PLEASE  DO  NOT  SUBMIT  ANY  ORIGINAL  TRANSCRIPTS/CERTIFICATES  ALONG  WITH  THE  VISA 
APPLICATION. ALL THE PHOTOCOPY OF THE DOCUMENTS MUST BE NOTARIZED**
