COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course will build on the knowledge and content of group/teams in Organizations which primarily
looked at behaviour of groups in organizations, from the micro perspective.

By the end of the course the students will develop some insight into the group behaviour of people with each other
and their interactions in groups or teams. They will get a perspective on the dynamics of team within and between
each other and their effectiveness at work, with the use of experimental exercises and classroom learning.

They will also be able to integrate the various levels of analysis in organizations and look at human behaviour in
organizations from an open system perspective which will include the dynamic interplay among environmental
influence, individual, group, interpersonal organizational processes.

This course will help students to understand the Organizational Management Analysis process to examine
organizational dynamics, the company's culture and provides insights to the alignment of management groups with
the company's goals and objectives.

The managerial implications of organizational dynamics and change are clearly articulated for the needs of the
students. The course presents an expanded coverage on the issue of organizational dynamics,and change process.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course students will be able to:
 Use "best practices" for transitioning into the new organization.

 Learn how to lead the change effort in a way that will gain employee support.
 Lead a group to make a decision by following the group decision-making process.
 Identify styles of conflict management and manage conflict using the steps of the conflict-management
process.
 See organizations and groups from varied perspectives.
 Access Org Psych/OD intellectual resources
 Will learn the need for organizations to be dynamic, active partners of change, not just pawns reacting to it
turns & twists.

PRE- REQUISITES:
It is essential that the student has a thorough understanding of concepts in Organizational Behaviour, which is
the core course of OB & HRM area.
