Introduction
This course focuses on the organization as a whole. Students will gain an understanding of the
ways in which managers seek to promote organizational effectiveness through internal structures
and processes. Case Analyses, exercises, and class activities will enable students to get an insight
and appreciation of how organizational theory may contribute towards improving the design and
management of organizations.
Objectives:
The specific objectives of the course would be to:
To understand the concepts and different approaches to the study of organizations.
To study the structural components of an organization, different design options and their impact on
organizational performance and effectiveness.
To analyze the process and assess management of change in organizations.
