Details
The FTIM optional accessory is now available for the ADVC ULTRA Controller models equipped with the
FTIM communications cable. This new option includes:
 The FTIM module;
 An EMC cable gland;
 4 x M5 stainless steel screws; and
 4 x flat washers and 4 x spring washers.
Note: This option is not available on the ADVC COMPACT or ULTRA Controllers without the FTIM cable.
Product description
The FTIM is an ADVC Controller Range accessory that accepts external control signals from third party
devices. It provides four optically isolated inputs for:
 Fast Trip Input to trip the recloser
 Fast Close Input to close the recloser
 Trip Block Input to block all trip and close commands.
 Close Block Input to block all close commands.
It also provides a 12 Vdc isolated power supply output that can be used for field excitation.
The FTIM module is connected to the control electronics via a shielded cable that is part of the internal wiring
loom of an ADVC Controller. Customers intending to use an FTIM must specify the requirement at the time
of order. It is not possible to retrofit the cable in the field.
The FTIM is installed on the upper accessory mounting tray of the ULTRA model.
