To our dear Panelists!

We really appreciate your confirmation! We are excited to share with you the business ideas that our students
came up with. May we take this time to discuss important details of our program:

Your Role. You will be one of the sharks.

Shark as an on-the-day mentor: links to materials are sent together with this email. Kindly watch and read
each material before our set Q&A schedule. We would appreciate to know your points for improvement,
comments and suggestions.

Shark as an investor: we enjoin you to propose an offer (ownership, loan, royalty or combination) of not
more than five thousand pesos (P5,000.00) per company, this will test their critical thinking; your
committed amount will be financed by ABM fund.

Shark as a year-long mentor: should your offer be chosen, your mentorship will be sought for one whole
academic year, you will also be tasked to monitor and maintain sound business decisions on behalf of
Meridian Administration.

Materials. Each group submitted a 10 minute video presentation with their powerpoint presentation, business plan,
financial statements (Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement) forecast.

Schedule. May we kindly request your presence 10 minutes before the schedule.

Time Allocation. 10 Minutes for question and answer, recommendations and points for improvement and 10
minutes for offers.

Basic MILE ABM Assumptions. Forecasts and computations were based on Mile ABM Calendar.

MILE ABM Calendar. Year 1 starts on September 2020 and ends on December 2020. Year 2 starts on
January 2021 and ends on April 2021. Actual week (Monday to Friday) is considered as one reportable
month, three actual weeks are considered as one reportable quarter and 12 actual weeks are considered
one reportable year of operation.

Capitalization. Each student is required to raise a minimum of Five thousand pesos (P5,000.00) which will
serve as investment to the corporation. ABM-MILE shall invest maximum of Five thousand pesos
(P5,000.00) for a certain percentage of ownership during the sales pitch. Should the incorporator fail to
raise the minimum amount, ABM-MILE shall loan the amount to the corporation for 5% interest per ABM-
MILE Calendar year (simple interest computation).

Taxes. For Simulation purposes, Government taxes are as follows

O Taxes and Licenses are 25% of actual cost of business permits


O Percentage tax is 25% of actual percentage tax rate of 3%
O Income tax rate is 25% of actual income tax rate of 30%
O Withholding taxes and other government taxes such as SSS, Philhealth, HDMF and other final taxes on
dividends and interest income will not be charged for ABM-MILE business simulation

Rent. Rent expense for the area where the kiosk will be situated is five hundred pesos per actual week
(P500.00)

Utilities. Utilities expense is for the use of electricity and water if any. Assumed amount per projection is
sixty pesos per actual week (P60.00)
