1. Difference and Similarities of OT and NT
a.) The NT focuses more on the life and teachings of Jesus and the Christian
church. The OT explains the history of the creation of the world, the exodus
of Israelites and the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. Also, NT
consists of 27 books while OT consists of 46 books.
b.) The NT fullfills God’s promise of a messiah and savior as found in the O.T.
c.) The OT is written before the birth of Christ while NT is written after the birth
of Christ.
d.) God’s identity in NT is Trinity of God, God the father, the son and the holy
spirit. While in OT, The Lord is the only God.
e.) The languages used in OT is Hebrew and Aramaic. While in NT, it is Greek.
f.) The OT is written with a vocabulary word of 5,800 words whereas the NT is
written with a vocabulary of 4,800 words.
