QQ-A-225/8E dated 30 October 1991, is hereby canceled. Future acquisitions for this
product should refer to the following:

For aerospace and unspecified applications use SAE Aerospace Materials

Specification (AMS) AMS-QQ-A-225G, “Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy,
Bar, Rod, Wire, or Special Shapes; Rolled, Drawn or Cold Finished, General
Specification” and associated Detail Specifications.

For non-aerospace applications use American Society for Testing and Materials
(ASTM) Specification ASTM B211, “Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Bar, Rod,
and Wire”.

(DoD activities may obtain copies of ASTM B211 or AMS-QQ-A-225G publications
