What are the most important cross-cultural characteristics of the business communication in
international companies?

Answer:

Today cross cultural communication in business is very important and it plays a vital role in
business. People from different countries can communicate with each other and expand their
business. Earn profit from different countries. Cross-cultural communication in an organization
deals with understanding different business customs, beliefs and communication strategies.
Language differences, high-context vs. low-context cultures, nonverbal differences, and power
distance are major factors that can affect cross-cultural communication. People from different
countries learn from their colleagues from a different ways. Employee from different background
or a different country, cultural get to learn from their colleagues in a different ways. Easy to
learn other’s culture their values and norms. Built a good relation with others. Understand your
own culture and give awareness of your culture to others. Openness to hearing other’s
perception. Necessary foe understanding each other views and working together. Be open
minded. Different communication barriers create hurdle in your way like language barrier,
cultural, religion, and sign and symbol. Eliminate all barrier and increase cross cultural
communication.

Describe ethical considerations for communication, and explain how codes of conduct help
organizations promote ethical business behavior

Answer:

Ethics is focus on helping peoples rather than harming. Eliminating theological, political, legal
and socientric influence. Purpose of code of ethics in business or an organization is protect
employee’s legal rights and employees know how advocate for themselves in situation like
discrimination, resolving conflicts and harassment. Employees also know the ethics of company
and if employee not follow the ethics they should be punished.

When ethical consideration is followed in business or an organization trust developed between


the employees, customer and management as well as public corporation. Consumer follow and
supporting those companies who follow ethics. They pay more to buy product and services from
these type of companies. Pay more attention to companies particularly those involving in ethical
decision.

In a fast-paced competitive and highly connected digital workplace, communication skills matter
than ever before.. Explain the communication skills that a person needs to have in order to
survive in a business environment.

Answer:

In today’s world the communication skills are very important to communicate.


Good verbal and written communication skills are essential in order to deliver and understand
information quickly and accurately. Being able to communicate effectively is a vital life skill and
should not be overlooked. Communication can be defined as the process of understanding and sharing
meaning. To communicate well is to understand, and be understood. Active listening skill is very
important in communication. You have to know what the person say to you. You have good listening
skills.undersatnding what you say to other peoples. Mutual understanding is important. Understanding
of receiver is important.

Cover clear sense of message. Emphasize positive side of message. Used familiar word in your
talking or message that a receiver easily understand.

When it comes to writing messages in today's business environment, why printed messages are
still preferred for formal correspondence.

Answer:

Printed messages are still preferred because it is permanent record of message. When you send a
printed message to other person it save the record of message both sender and receiver.
Whenever you need message you open and read the message. Or use for other purpose.
