September 22, 2019 Meeting

Reminders by Msgr. Ric Serrano:

- The lyrics for the Lord's Prayer must be "Our Father in heaven", not "Our Father who art
in heaven" and "holy be your name", not "hallowed be thy name".
- For Kapampangan masses, the lyrics of "Ligaya King Dios" must include the complete
liturgical text, therefore, no shortcuts.

Agenda #1: Advent Songs

Msgr. Ric Serrano disseminated musical sheets of various Advent songs. These Advent songs
are expected to be sung from the whole duration of the advent season and also including the
first until the last day/night of the Simbang Gabi. Msgr. Serrano strictly noted that Christmas
songs are to be sung only starting from the Maitiniz Masses (evening of December 24).

Msgr. Ric also provided us a paper with a blank table wherein each choir may write the usual
advent and christmas songs they sing. It will be submitted on Sunday (Sept. 29) and once given
to Msgr. Ric, the songs will be pending for approval.

Agenda #2: Christmas Concert

The Christmas Concert will be held on December 14, 2019 (Saturday) inside the Parish. The
supposedly 6:00pm holy mass will have to adjust to 5:30pm on the said date. The concert will
be right after the eucharistic celebration. Each choir must render two Christmas carols either
liturgical or secular, approximately 8 minutes duration for both songs.

Agenda #3: Sunday 6:00AM Mass

The 6:00AM Sunday Mass has no regular choir. Msgr. Ric Serrano asked for a solution to
resolve this problem. Tita Jingco suggested to have all the choirs on rotating schedule for the
said time slot. The choir leaders and Msgr. Ric Serrano agreed upon the suggestion. Therefore,
as discussed on the meeting, the choir schedule for the 6AM Sunday Mass for the rest of 2019
is as follows:
