1. What do you know?

1. Among all these pictures, which do you think gives the right description of
the crucifixion of Christ? Explain your answer?   
- For me the first picture gives the right description of the crucifixion
of Christ because Jesus has given a crown of thorns , stripped and
nailed to the cross and above his head placed a sign that says
“King of Jews” and aside from that, the time that Jesus was
crucified there was two criminals who are also crucified alongside
him the innocent and the thief and that is what exactly we can see
in the first picture.

c. Explain the reason why you gave that answer? What was in your mind?
- The main reason why I gave that answer above is that as a Roman
Catholic, since I was a child, I am familiar to the passion of the
cross and the crucifixion of Jesus and it really gives me a big help
in watching some videos about it.

2. Analysis
a.In the light of the study about humanities, Can you consider the Seven
Wise Men of the Philippines as having equal importance among the wise
men of Asia?
- Yes, because even though they contributed in our history in different way
all of them has a contribution. Even up to now the contributions of both seven wise
mans is used and has a special place in our history. We should give equal importance
to both because with the used of their doings we are not in what we are today.

b.What do you think are the qualities of Philippine art? In your opinion, what makes
Philippine art Filipino?
- For me, the qualities of Philippine art are that every art is based and
inspired in reality and every art has shown important details about what the art is all
about. Philippine art makes as Filipino because every art is the scenes of everyday life
and the surroundings and the medium of expression is portraying the subject as true to
what is in the reality that makes Philippine art authentic.

3. Assessment
a.If you were to add to the lesson, what would they be? Create new
ideas/knowledge and share it in the discussion.
 - Discuss what is Philosophical Theories of Art. I don’t have any idea about
philosophical theories because I haven’t already read some topics about it
but I am expecting that our Professor in this subject will explain what it is.
b. Why do you think this philosophical theory of art can be an avenue for the
discussion and dissemination of these realities in our country? How can
the recipients of artworks be more involved?

4. Reflections
a. Examine the philosophical theory of art you learned. What significant
lesson did you find it personal?

- Simply, Art is the way of expressing one’s feeling or emotions. In

making an art the emotion is every important because emotion has
a big role in communication to its audience specially to those who
will see the art.

b. In what part of the lesson did you find easy or hard to illustrate in the way
that you learned? Why?
- The part of the lesson that I find easy is the two-general field of
learning, the Science and Humanities, because it gives clear
example and meaning that I easily understand and every example
has a connection in a real life. Like in knowing who you are, it is
truly hard to know who you are but it is very important.
