There are two types of mindsets, most commonly known as growth and fixed mindsets. A
fixed mindset is when a person believes that people are born with certain qualities, abilities, and
talents and that those cannot be improved. While a person with a growth mindset believes that
someone’s qualities, abilities, and talents can be improved through hard work and dedication.
Growth and fixed mindsets can be both positive, and negative, it always depends on how society
sees/portrays them. They can also drastically affect the way someone goes about their life,
Growth mindset can be an externally helpful, or hurtful tool in the workplace. Someone with
a growth mindset will be more likely to succeed and move up in ranking. This is because they

always true. Someone with a growth mindset will probably seem like a fun and easygoing person
that does not struggle with much, but always remember that they could be struggling just as
much as anyone else. This takes form in many other places other than the workplace, but it is a
very common gift and curse in work. Wanting to succeed and wanting to learn are very valued
traits that someone can have, and they truly do make life and work more enjoyable. But, always
remember that getting lost in learning is also common and that it can make it harder to continue
moving up. Everyone either has a growth or a fixed mindset, and many people struggle with the
