With so many different styles, colours, patterns, surfaces and sizes, how to select the ‘right’ tile?
The surface must be clean, smooth, dry and free of wax and grease. Areas that damaged or uneven must be patched or leveled.

CHOOSING A GROUT: Initial cleaning immediately after floor installation is essential and important to remove all mortar, sand and grout residues that may be left.
Grout is available in a wide variety of colours. Using a grout which matches the tile tends to make the grout lines dissappear. Using a contrasting colour
makes the individual tiles stand out. Niro Granite, the Swiss-Quality tile can be cleaned by scrubbing the installation with clean water and a neutral detergent and with a thorough rinsing.

If grout residue still remains, further cleaning of the tile can be accomplished by using a grout remover. Equipment recommended for more aggressive
cleaning are floor scrubbers or floor buffing machines equipped with a nylon pad or brush. A wet vacuum should be used to pick up suspended grout
residue and construction dirt completely.
TILE CARE
Caution should be exercised when using acid or acid-based cleaners as they can adversely affect the grout. Avoid using hydrofluoric acid to its compounds,
according to UNI-EN 176.
STAIN RECOMMENDATION

Soy sauce, Coke, Coffee / Tea, If acid is used for cleaning the installation, cautioned to use diluted sulfuric acid or diluted hydrochloric acid mixed in a correct mixture or concentration.

DAILY MAINTENANCE PEI RATINGS

should be made from tile samples. Colour, shade and glaze variations may exist due to the inherent characteristic of
porcelain tile.

Due to low porosity of porcelain tiles, an Improved High Performance Cementitious adhesive in accordance to BS EN 12004 & ISO
13007-1 is highly recommended for proper installation. Products that meet this standard are available amongst leading adhesive
